As per usual I am waiting for a reply to my last letter, or in this case letter and emails, to UKSport. For some inexplicable reason it always seems to take them at least a fortnight to reply to each missive, and the worst thing is, despite the time taken, it is always a load of utter drivel...

I'll give you an actual example (slightly paraphrased):
UKSport - Paintball cannot be recognised because to do so would not be a priority in achieving our stategic objectives
Hotpoint - Well I thought your objectives were to promote sport and increase participation in it, but if not what are they?
UKSport - The strategic objectives are to "promote, develop and achieve excellence in those activities formally recognised by the Councils" (Direct Quote)
Hotpoint - But if you say you won't recognise us because we don't feature in your strategic objectives but those objectives are to support sports you recognise... then no Sport could ever be recognised... that's totally illogical! I'm not accepting that!
UKSport - I'll talk to my superiors and get back to you...
