the NPPL didn't. It was just the PSP and the COA, and was being discussed by the MS and that English league (that escapes my memory).

Get with the program danelord, you big old confusicating scando

ps. I looked for a smiley pulling a spacca face but couldn't find one ;)

I agree with Boogie to the extent that people did say all those things, but there has been an increase in safety related accidents since Semi-auto came in. There will be another increase with FA.
The other argument is that the 'level playing field' is only desired by the people who were at the low end of the slanted playing field. Cheating aside, some people can fire faster than others and this used to help thier game. Now it doesn't.

There's a difference between banning guns manufactured with a full auto mode and banning added shots.

For example, if a league were to ban guns manufactured with full-auto mode, that league would ban *ALL* ions, period, because they are sold with a full-auto mode. Doesn't matter if a player is not using that mode on the field, the point is the powers that be have gotten together and decided that full auto will not be sold at retail. If you make a marker that is sold at retail with a full-auto mode, nobody will be able to use it at tournaments.

Now, enforcing a semi-only rule, that's CURRENTLY not feasible, in the sense that nobody could do it next week. But it's very feasible in the sense that anybody could do it in a few months.

It's just that nobody wants to.

Wait a sec. The NPPL does enforce such a rule. Maybe they do so poorly, but they do seem to "want to". If they are implementing it imperfectly, I don't believe it is for lack of sincerity.

Gyro - I don't doubt the NPPL's sincerity, but the fact remains that imperfectly is not good enough. No level playing field, no sport. If a rule isn't enforceable it's not worth the paper it's printed on.

Nick - I believe in the UK a PSP style rule has been adopted and apparently the home office here has OK'd it...

As said, if we could implement the rules across the board in Europe, I would be all for it.

But in countries like Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark (and probably many more) - anything but true semi is illegal (to the best of my knowledge).

It would be great if the MS could go into dialogue with the EU to get that changed.... but at this pouint in time, I don't think the PSP rules can be implementet, while overserving the law in many countries.

Hey Nick im curious has the EU been aproached on the subject of paintball and the way it is evolving so that maybe yall can get the laws changed so that youll be allowed the 15bps ruleing???Is there a way to talk to German , Swedish , or Danish officials to get the laws changed???
I finally was able to play with a NXL marker for the first time last weekend and all i gotta say is that it was a hoot.15 bps at full auto is a blast to play with and i do believe the way of the future of paintball .So we need to start working with your local goverments now to try and be ready for the future .I wish you all there across the pond from me the best of luck and i hope that all is worked out quickly for I like you want a global paintball league where its a level playing field for everyone involved.
