orig X-box when chipped is an all out killer media centre and still a mighty games machine (huge chunks of time saved when loading gamed from HDD rather than Disc)
PS3, amazing graphics but just too much £££, considering it needs an HDD tv to justify it too
Wii, just for fun, you'll be hooked

Or spend that amount of money on paint and training and be good at paintball

Both consoles have their exclusive 'lifeline' series games

PS3 (Sony) Has Metal Gear Solid 4 (possibly last, hopefully not) also has Devil May Cry

360 (Microsoft) Has the last in the Halo series (maby) but i have only one thing to say and that is Gears Of War

It may sound biased as it probably is but i assure you that i am a fan of both consoles and will probably end up owning both by July lol Already have 360

I personally think an Xbox outrules a playstation every time. My younger brother had a ps1, ps2 and had a go on the ps3 and then decided he wanted an xbox after playing the old school one! So now instead of an new ps he is happy with an old xbox! The xbox 360 is amazing but the wii is more people/friends/groups oriented. I got bored of it after a little while. So my vote goes for xbox, but if it were an option, sega megadrive ftw!

I dont own any of them so this is a pure outsiders perspective.

Technologically speaking i'd class the Wii as lightyears ahead of either the ps3 or xbox. Nintendo have gone down the route of interactivity and i guarantee you that the generation of consoles from microsoft and sony will include this. Its the logical progression for consoles to make in the future. There is only so far you can go on graphics etc alone.

Having said this, overall, and having played them all, i'd say the xbox at the moment is best. Its affordable, its got the best games and will continue to do so for the coming year.

Apparently sony will never make a profit off sales of the ps3 and are in fact running a loss at selling them at the present cost. They are hoping to recoup their loss's through game sales alone. I wouldn't expect a price drop at all this year.

Personally I like the cup n' ball game. You can't lose the ball because it's connected to the cup by a string and vice-versa! Genius. If Sony bundle one of those puppies with every console, they aint gonna have a problem mate.

The ps3 just seems a bit owned, it's trying to hard when it's crap, well not crap but a bit overpriced for it. Anyway with the new xbox 360 elite.
