Paul,

I appreciate what you are saying, I even agree with you in the bigger picture. However, on a personal level if i'm in the market for a new piece of kit, i'm going to go directly to the cheapest source. If that souce happens to be in the US then so be it. Does anybody really want to pay extra, for the slim chance of gaining worthwhile sponsorhip from a local dealer?

Well as long as everyone keeps looking out for themselves everything will be rosey

Joking aside of course I understand that! I don't think as yet though I've bought somthing from the US if I could buy it here, maybe all UK dealers should refuse to service/repair/have anything to do with markers purchased outside the UK.

recently ordered £300 quids worth of timmy stuff from PBK in the states it took 2 days by UPS world wide express and didnt pay a penny in import or tax as box was marked sponsorship goods.

Have ordered from a dozern state side companys and all are more then willing to mark your parcel as sponsorship goods or drop forward 25 bucks customs dont know what a drop forward is!!!!!!!!!

The united states parcel service is excellent very fast and shipping prices are only slightly higher then royal mail special delivery on a marker

Doesn't make for great business though. Say I go to the US on holiday and buy a gun directly from Smart Parts. Get home and I’ve got a problem. So I go see the guys at Europe, who refuse to help because I didn't buy from them. Smart Parts USA are going to be pretty pissed off if there European agent/dealer wont help out in that situation. An all because that dealer didn't get his cut of the profit...who's looking out for themselves now;)

I agree if you want UK business to grow, then players have to buy locally. However the percentage of us who'll truly gain from this growth has got to be minimal

if prices were low enough in the uk ppl would not look to overseas. example, fags and booze. its the same in paintball and having a go at somone for trying to save money is out of order. a marker a car its all the same why pay £500 more on it......its ok saying support british dealers........but as we are told when the shoes on the other foot "its a business,im here to make money" welcome to the world of international commerce.
