The point was both Nick and Colin implied in their earlier remarks that some irregularity that upset some Div 2 players was unimportant so I was simply elaborating on their attitude in order to make the ramifications of that view clear.

Ok, guess i took it on behalf of all of us Div. 2 players :)

But still wonders how that statment helped to show your point....But maybe i have to be pro to see ;)

we played Div. 2 cause we´re a new team formed this year with some experinced players and some rookies!
Also we play Amateur here in portugal (Pro-Ama-Nov-Rook) to start gaining experience, but we´ve been beating pro teams (here in portugal) and are wining all amateur tourneys. Next year will become pro in portugal!! there are Pro teams in portugal that if played Div 2 would prob. be bad classified!
So right now we´re gaining experience, in the near future we´ll play Div 1 and who knows we´ll became Pro! that´s our goal!!
Like i said! Watch us out there!! ;)

Geez, Nick!

1--I didn't say I liked it..... merely that that is the way it IS, under the current rules.

2--Feel free to submit your suggested re-wording of the transfer rules, that take into account not only how to stop guesting - but also that we do not want to eliminate people from the sport, if they leave their team or get dropped from the roster.

3--Banning people from a league for a period of time is all fine and dandy in the states, where you have multible leagues to choose between...... but that wouldn't really work in Europe with only one big league operating.

4--If you want to elaborate my attitude, how about you find out what it is first ?

Nick
1--yes, but if you had any real objections you wouldn't have hesitated to express them with your usual flair.
2--since when does anybody pay any attention to me?
3--No need for that. The NPPL rules offer players opportunities to continue playing and if you find they aren't flexible enough for Euros leave the transfer rules in place as is with simple additional stipulation that a player who starts the season, or plays their first Mil of the season with a team other than the one they last played a Mil with, must play at least two more events within the same season at that level of play. That way players have complete freedom to find a new team in the off season but would be discouraged from slumming.
4--what's this, a milder, gentler Broccoli-Dwarf? ;) Perhaps I went a tad overboard. :)

2: They have to - you are Moderator Extraordinaire :D

3: I like that suggestion.... think stipulating 2 events would be enough to stop player from slumming though.

4: Maybe I did too..... I just find that when someone like you post something like that...... suddenly 100's of people believe that it actually reflects my oppinion..... so - I HAVE to react in a way that leaves no doubt ;)

Are Paul and the boys going to play Div 1 in Paris ?

Nick
1--gotta keep those priorities straight.
2--Excuse me while I go get my shovel and waders. :)
3--okay
4--100's? Not 1,000s? Actually I was rather hoping for a classic Nick response. Figuratively a few decibels higher. ;) :D

I know they've talked about trying to play a couple of the Divisional X events in Euroland but no idea which ones. Don't know if Paris is possible given Orlando schedule.
