I just watched the DVD and a few things struck me.

Negative points:
A lot of footage was used over and over.
There were no games on there! Just snippets, it was like watching a series of plays with no real action of anything to follow.
There was a load of stuff where footage was rewound, played and rewound and played again. Got boring after a while
There is no real diversity in teams showed, Tigers Kidz and Tigers were always on, as were method and Backlash. i though there was a load of footage....if so....why play the same teams over and over?

Good points:
Great soundtrack
Good camera angels
Good interviews

Oh, and did anyone else notice the amount of cheating that was going on? A guy rubbing himnself all over the Dorito on the Xball field. And in the same game a guy gets shot on the trigger hand, and looks at the shot then looks at the camera before calling himself out:p And other players getting hit on the run, and sliding on the hit, you could tell they were sliding to wipe as nobody would slide that way normally.:D

One suspects that, as he entitled his post 'Euro 5-Man', he may be referring to the Euro 5-Man...

It all depends on how you look at it dude. There would be a few hick ups on the dvd, as its their first one.
Personally they did a brilliant job at it. The rewinding parts maybe boring, but they capture the essence of vital moves, and how they are achieved by players laning paint and so on.
The clips may have been short, but they showed different teams in them and the outcomes of each game. Not only that but the clips were not boring, but showed good moves, and interesting ones ;)
The full games were in depth and you could see everything.
Id say better than the nppl ones. :D :D

Nice job hightide.

Keep em coming

Well i agree with soem of the playing on things mentioned, spesh the guy who looked at the camera man before callign himself - least he noticed him unlike the others :).

Neways i thought was a great DVD as some1 who was stood on the side line it actually let me see a lot of what i missed. Plenty of full games, and plenty of diversity. reason so many pro (higher level teams were seen so much maybe due to playoffs meaning they actaully had more games maybe???

neways great job from the high tide lads and ladeses'

Euro 5-man DVD

Just got my copy of DVD and watched it with a few mates who don't play paintball, they were totally into it by the end of the film, maybe for players you can never really capture the buzz of the game, but as a showcase for paintball I think its a great piece of work. If you ever get frustrated by people who, when you tell them you play paintball say, "oh, that's running round the woods going bang" get a copy of this and watch it blow their socks off.
Well done DVD filming Chaps!!!!:D :D

Maybe a disc for each day of an event would be better, or 2 discs at least...i know it would mean extra editing, but..if you arent trying to fit it all on one disc, it may be easier...that way there is more room for complete games...etc...and it cant add that much to the cost, as most of that is the actual filming anyway, which they have allready and would do anyway on subsequent films...

i somehow doubt they were pressed to get it all one on disc, most dvd's hold like 8 gb's which is a 4 hour film + extras etc. u can also get some that hold 17gb's etc
