You know with motorcycle jackets and trousers how they have little 'pockets' on the inside around the knees and elbows etc and inside you can slide foamy inserts to give some protection?

Why the HELL doesn't somebody do that with tournament trousers. That way those who want some knee padding can use it (I mean thinner and more flexible stuff than used in biking trousers obviously) and negate the need for useless knee pads that slide all over the shop after the first dive.

Plus then, those who don't want it can just pull it out.

They could even sell the armour seperate, as an upgrade for more money! If only I had friends with contacts at a chinese fabrication factory...

it would make it easier to comply with tournie rules if anything

its about time playing pants manufaturers sat down and took the best bits from different pants and made a difinitive playing pant!

the dye ones are pritty good but for god sake make the arse pockets big enough to put a wallet in!

i just bought myself a pair of the raven pants....actually last seasons model but i havnt seen them for sale anywhere since campaign last year!!!! i quite like the idea of the built in pod loops....just hoping they have a velco adjuster in the waist like the dye ones........guess ill have to wait till they land....then agian i payed more for the postage than the pants so if they aint up to it its no loss!

Its true, the Smokin Outlasts do have this very thing. The pads "float", as it were, so you dont get any restrictions around your knees, but they'll always be in the right place at the right time.

Being removable is a plus for me otherwise I dont fit behind the wheel in my mini :D

the new evil playing pants have pod pockets , one on each leg, seems like a great idea to me, specially for limited or for straight off the break in unlimited. also i agree someone really should sit down and incorporate all these features.

its all wel and good with pants tht look good but sum1 should make some for all levels of ball, tht also look good :p

surely theres an english company or somethng tht we can persuade into making a prototype:p

Come on Planet!!

It's about time Planet bought out their own playing trousers if you ask me ;)

For me the ultimate playing trousers would have...

1. removable knee pads as discussed above
2. lumbar pad/pack anti slip pad (like on Empire/Dye ones etc)
3. Higher crotch (Dye and Angel ones are too low for me and I can't move my legs freely enough, JT and Draxxus ones are best so far, Empire one is nice and elasticated too)
4. Pod pockets (like the Angel ones preferably)
5. One zippable pocket for loose items and barrel bags
6. Elasticated waist with velcro adjusters
7. Zippable fly
8. belt loops just in case
9. elsticated ankle (Empire ones are the best example of this in my experience)
10. Squeegie/fluffy stick pocket (again Empire ones have the best example of position for that in my opinion)

Get all that sorted and we would have the mother of all playing trousers!

And make sure you send me a set for evaluation before they hit the market ;)
