Cheque is one the worst way to buy I would say. Send to address which does have anyone regular at , ie a dole drop. Pick the cheque up and go visit a place that clears cheques with out bank account. You vanish and everything goes backto thedole address which is used by loads of people.

Paypal askes for credit card details then checks them against records on file for that card right ? As I said just before could take payment then refund it to paypal so maybe cost just a pound or so . Just an idea as sick of people scamming other people it is a piss take.

you would have to make it simlar to feedback forum, where only plat can create thread but anyone can post.

would have to watch out for people piggy backing play threads and trying to sale. It would also mean that pgi have sellers addresses!!! Good idea

but wouldnt people just get there m8's to sell there stuff for them?

seems to be 4-5 hard core scammers who keep comming back

not been hit myself but allways carefull to a point

other times i just take a chance

with luck the good people of lincolnshire will force play the game and ash22 out of paintball by blackballing them at all local events

that will be 2 less to worry about

it doesnt matter what measures are bought in some one will find a way round it some how.

its all to easy to get multiple user names on here as proved this afternoon, and the mods cant chase every last new user down, they got enough to do as it is.

this debate is going to drag on.

we all do but what can you do about it?? if there the other side of the country its not like you can just nip round and pull there arms off is it

unless you go to all the trouble the "doc" did and get the police involved and the courts your pretty much shafted.
getting them banned off the forum wont help cos they just come back on with a new user name, mind you trying to sell gear that they was trying to sell before is pretty stupid

Just a thought and I guess it most likely has been talked about before. Can you not make it so that all sellers are Plat for the classifieds ? Or have a gold membership which costs you say half the price of plat so you can then sell items? Just anyone who sells on Ebay has to pay fees etc and can't even sell a gun there. Least this way we have proof of seller etc and hopefully cut half the crap out who are trying to scam. It is a one of fee and if your selling a marker is around the same or less than Ebay would charge you to sell one marker. It is also a good way to show the police that trading of markers etc is looked at carefully by the forum.

im game. as long as u pay for my plat fees and everyone elses......

Think about it. If you were planning on scamming someone on say an 06 Ego or something, youre looking at say £400 profit.

If i stood to make £400 from paying a £10 setup fee, I'd quite happily pay that out as people are gonna be more likely to trust you etc...
