Just a thought and I guess it most likely has been talked about before. Can you not make it so that all sellers are Plat for the classifieds ? Or have a gold membership which costs you say half the price of plat so you can then sell items? Just anyone who sells on Ebay has to pay fees etc and can't even sell a gun there. Least this way we have proof of seller etc and hopefully cut half the crap out who are trying to scam. It is a one of fee and if your selling a marker is around the same or less than Ebay would charge you to sell one marker. It is also a good way to show the police that trading of markers etc is looked at carefully by the forum.

you would have to make it simlar to feedback forum, where only plat can create thread but anyone can post.

would have to watch out for people piggy backing play threads and trying to sale. It would also mean that pgi have sellers addresses!!! Good idea

my only gripe that i've noticed...you have to pay using paypal to get plat, do you not?? so what about those who don't do paypoo like me, i'm no scammer, im a genuine seller and have dealt with loads of people on here....
and im not about to set up a paypoo account any time sooon/ ever!

I'm sure they'd take cheques etc. But I think they use paypal as a secod way to make sure you are who you are. But I guess if you had a credit /debit card they could do that direct if they take them ?

Might not help that much to be honest. Both Ash22 and Play_The_Game were plat members and they were scamming little Sh!tes.
Plus abit unfair to force people to pay to sell things on a public forum.
Just my 2p.

cool idea dude but whould'nt people that dont want to pay the cash just go to another forum and post there gat on there and then this forum whould'nt have so many users

Ok could have a gold board where you pay a small fee from Paypal and then get it refunded once you have confirmed who you are etc .

NO NO NO! no paying so i can sell things - if and when i decide to - which will not be anytime soon - im no scammer either. i think if your gonna buy summat off somebody then you should only send a cheque - that way you have their address as you have sent them the money. and with the new systems supposedly happening its gonna take very little time for them to clear as well so it will also be quick for the seller to get paid - that way if they try and scam you. the buyer has the address and can have the matter easily resolved no?
