Back in the day - Instead of going down the industrial dip method - we used to spray on Mr Muscle caustic oven cleaner foam (after putting tape over the openings to the internals - insulating tape for the inside works best) and leave it in a plastic bag for 15-30minutes - bish bash bosh - what no anno!

Wash off and then polish up with autosol or mer - to a fine bling luster

PS treat anything caustic with respect - gloves, glasses or goggles are a very good idea - let's be careful out there!

I really sould have put about the safety equipment as well.
I would also suggest using a vapor mask as it can make you very ill breathing it in.

Tried the Mr. Muscle stuff on my trracer last night... It didn't even tickle it.

So I wet and dried it till it shined nice. Nice and shiney... MMMM shiney.
