Top weekend, friendly and the fields rocked(first time my team have seen me slide ) best placing we have had so just bring on next years event

Glad you liked the fields, me and the guys and girl (Gem) designed them with aggresive play in mind and it seemed to reward the teams that did. My guys would like to thank the marshals for top notch stuff all weekend. We would like to thank every team we played for a good, hard honest weekends balling and for making it a great atmosphere. We introduced a new player this weekend, Jamie who played his first ever tournament so thanx to all u guys really enjoyed himself. Will c u all soon.

The fields at Ancaster weren't CRAP, these were just much better. I think the Ancaster fields were too open in the middle (apart from field 3, I think). Actually I suppose it's all down to personal taste. The MM fields were more suited to back players, big bunkers at the back which kinda made for limited options and often games that couldn't go much farther than primaries. Myself and Latham really tried to play them differently and move around but the way some of the bunkers were set up made this nigh on impossible. The field you had with the 2 mini ladders on looked awesome from first glance until you noticed that the tape one wasn't on the tape which left it wide open to the back corner guy and the cheese on the tape with it was too open to the centre lie down guy, both bunkers coulda been great but ended up being useless. The Phoenix cup fields were more inspired and you really had to get your plans down and figure out how to make the 'key' bunkers and how to play them well, a bit of yank influence, with definate 'showtape' bunkers. You really had to use the right players for the right job, baiting, posting, moving, blind shootin etc....Teams don't want to play a standard dice 5 formation on 5 man, or 7 man for that, make things more exciting to encourage modern play.

Not a rant or a dig dude, just my opinion.

On behalf on Menace..

I'd just like to put in our thanks to the organisers, marshals teams and anyone or anyhting else to do with the tourney. We had an awesome time and made the 4 1/2 hour journey up north well worth it.

We could hardly put fault with anything. A shame we bombed out on the Sunday but as far as I'm concerned we didn't do much wrong, we were just out-played by better teams. Can't complain about that.
