Smart As A Carrot, would like to say thanks to all who organized, and played this weekend in the Phoenix Cup.

Top job to all Marshalls, and event staff.

Nice to see everything running on time, one game after another.

Special thanks to Woza for filling a gap at the front for us, and new guy John, who played great for his first tourny!

We all had a great time.

Even the weather was on the players side.

And to the bloke who let us down, on Thursday this week.....you are not getting a christmas card this year!!!!!

Big Thanks

Yep big thanks to everyone involved !!

Only one winge:

If we are trying to attract 'outside' interest to the sport, how are we going to do this when the fields were not 'spectator friendly' so if you wanted to watch the games you had to wear goggles, so I trailed my wife and kids down there for 2 days and they could not even watch me play !! :(

Good stuff apart from that though :D

Cheers

smoothest run event i have been to!! thanks to all the organisers.

great marshalling as well. i do think though that when a player "spits the dummy" big style and starts swearing and shouting at the ref's they should be booted out the tourney. what a way to try and interest people in the sport. there were people about, watching not just players, and a camera crew. what must they think when they see a spoilt brat loosing his temper at a marshall cos a decision didn't go his way.

thats what your captian and the ref should sort out in a calm manner. not you screaming at the top of your voice at a marshall.
