Once upon a time, most Millenniums would have 4-5 of the big US teams playing. But when the NPPL and PSP split, they stopped coming over. Has it really taken them over 5 years to decide that actually Millenniums would give them a better return than one of the US series?

Considering they haven't done that well this year in the Millennium, I don't think the motivation is money either.

Perhaps Rabies is highlighting that money may not be one of the major factors in the decision.

Surely it must cost them more to travel/play Millenium events than it does to travel/play NPPL events?

Does this point then point to issue's behind the scenes at a higher level?

P.s. keka – thank you for enlightening me, I knew there was a connection, just wasn’t sure how deep it ran.
It would also take money and extra effort to practise two different formats, if they were to compete in NPPL and NXL when compared to similar X-ball style play in NXL and Millennium.

I am not saying the Gardner brothers financial interest in NXL is not a part of the decision to leave NPPL - but isn't it odd that when Smart Parts is somehow connected to the matter, the conspiracy theorists come out so fast :)

It would make sense from the industries side of things to have the two leagues make friends again so the industry that supports the teams can just attend one event where both formats are played. Xball, 7-man, pump why not even woodsball like in the good old days. Less travel to attend events for companies will increase profits which is needed in these harsh economic times.

I think it really just comes down to looking at the rest of the season, noting that you're likely to be relegated, and thinking, hey, I could actually be at home those weekends.... or at practice, if you're die-hard.

I think the real reason is that the final NPPL events of the year clash with the NASCAR Dover 400 and final race of the season at the Miami Homestead.

No self respecting redneck cracker mofo (which basiclly ballers are), would be missing that.
