But no, I was just looking for a barrel, as eclipse don't make .693 bore shaft 4 backs anymore, and didn't fancy forking out over £100 for a boomstick or a freak kit, so sent them an email and fired a few questions at them!

Take into account.... Shadow make the barrels to order. If the company you are looking to buy them from (Rap4UK or FatBobs) don't have them in stock, it takes 12 weeks to get them in!

Shadow looks interesting currently looking for a new barrel so they may be worth bearing in mind.

FB is one of the stores that has the really annoying live chat option that never works. leaving a message through it doesn't work either. I have never tried emailing them normally though.

At the prices most barrels are I won't bother buying one for a while. £70 or there about is a lot of money for looks. Lets face it...a barrel won't have much performance gain...just looks

Im not saying anything against Shadow, far from it, but a barrel is a barrel is a barrel. They are all just tubes with shiny insides. If one barrel is going to be better than another in anyway, it will be because the control bore is longer than the other. For example un1tec barrels are 693 the entire length of the barrel, and not an inch or two like you get with some insert systems.

But the biggest factor to affect accuracy......is yourself.

I completely agree any well made barrel will be the same as any other.

If I'm completely honest I'm an equipment tart. the only two things I'm interested in with a new barrel is looks and being a 2 piece barrel so its easier to store/ if I happen to need a different back in the future. £70 is a lot of dough for those two features.

Priority should be paint though...and it will be for the time being. No point buying a new barrel to fire ovals...might as well stick with the old and buy decent paint

I have spent a day and age (literally months) emailing PB companies for help with my mask vs Hearing aid issues, Sending youtube videos showing the problem and all sorts.
one or two have sent a reply with the usual (we'll get back to you ASAP) message
One even responded and alas was unable to help. but other than that, nothing.
I would phone but A) Time difference's and International Calls. and B) Hearing Issues prevent me doing so.

I'm not a business just someone who enjoyed playing and wants to again.
Whilst I may have come up with a solution to the problem myself without any firm feedback from the manufacturers I cannot be sure that the mask is still safe or in keeping with regulations.
