I think there was something done about it in a least one case and maybe more than you might be aware of. I didn't know you were there? (be fun to get that subject going again:) )

I think his post-sentence smilies were actually a failed attempt to highlight his sarcasm for the American-impared. I believe he is referring to the phrase "blatantly dirty" (Paragraph 8) in the News sectiona'.

I expect there's other threads on the topic but surely its time the rules changed anyway? If 7 man is to be a spectator sport in the same way that xball is then we need to change the rules on crowd participation. Its an odd game that doesn't allow crowd support and to me these rules just hark back to the days of the woodland tourney when there were no spectators. the crowd for the xball games was amazing. lets have more of that in 7 man.

Ditto to that. There was some problems in field one when some russians (?) yelled something that was not for us to understand and that could have been information to the russian team in the field (I believe it actually was information since it seemed to have an effect in the game, but I cannot tell it for sure ;)).

The "you cannot give information to the field" rules are soon to be unenforceable as more people are coming to see the games. We are not attracting the tenis crowds so we should not expect our crowds to act like those do.

I can see both sides of the coin here... we had first time guests who had come up to support us but we asked them and our Tsunami Blue players to stand back from the netting while we played as it's all to easy to get engrossed in the game and point out a move to your mate standing next to you, saying 'did you see that'? etc.
In the game vs Urho ithere was a bunch of about 6 local kids (about 10-12 yr olds) standing behind the netting shouting out to me 'theres one in front of you' and i was cringing hoping that the Ref standing nearby wouldn't assume the kids were anything to do with Tsunami and eliminate me!
I think the solution, as already suggested would be to make 7-man the same as X-Ball and allow information and misinformation. TBH most of whats shouted in a crowd gets lost on field anyway. On the subject of spectators, I do think we need to look at taping off the spectators side of the netting to say 1 metre as so many kids had their faces pressed up into the netting. I'm sure a ball could cause an eye injury with someone's face pressed on the netting??

Why would they yell something when they could transmit it over their implanted headsets???

Awwww, that's so cute.

You should have called a paintcheck on him and then mugged him.

first of all, if you have guests watching the games you should have briefed them on not coaching.
Secondly, guests at millenium events should have guest passes. your players girlfriend did not.
Thirdly, Being excited is not an excuse. if one or our players 8 year old daughter can be quiet and shut up during a game then anyone can.
Finally, your players girlfriend was pointing surreptiously to start with.It was not a case of over excitement but a meditated act.

i would like to re iterate that i dont believe the whole team was cheating but certainly one player was in this game. Since there have been no other replies i'm willing to believe that this was a one off. My apologies to the non cheating storm players.

Now i do agree that spectators might have a problem differentiating between xball and 7 man. Certainly some signage on the netting would help to remedy this.

To get in to the players area. Not to look at games.

We had a screaming girlfriend with us at one tournament.
The refs told her to be quiet.
Then she was quiet.

Is it so hard to belive that she dident know?

I hope this happends to your team sometime so we can blame you for cheating.
