The irony is that this was one of the intended purposes for paintball guns, as I recall. Marking cattle and trees is what Nelspot 007 was created to do.

Just make sure the neighbours don't mind, all it takes is one call o the police and you have an armed responce unit knocking your door through!
especially in a land like the one im from where 90% of the people dont even know PB and 5% still think its a wargame that is done by neonazis as secret training...:(

yup, so a rancher or lumber owner could "mark" the ones he wanted bolting or felling from a helicopter or vehicle without having to stop and paint each one.
that was the nelspot........the 007 is a conversion kit to take it from bolt to pump (for playing games)

lucky your in socal........ you could also own a glock with no probs
Most coppers will accept "it's just a paintball gun" and leave it at that

Look at the full auto issue..... say a race frame for example.....totally illegal (noy just to use, but to even own one in the UK), as illegal as a working uzi (that's a ten year soap dropping sentence).... but no-ones been charged.... it'll happen sooner or later, the law just aint that bothered with us yet, so don't attract attention.

check the country of the poster before responding

Well, I am well aware of country of the poster. It doesn't seem like thing's are that different over there. Seems like most of the people don't really have problems using their guns at home, as long as it's within reason.

I am a little surprised at that full auto law. That seems very strict. I imagine how bad that could be for paintball in general for someone to get a long term sentence for owning one.

Law is totally different here...backyard paintball is almost impossable. Think about it.........you've still got large expanses of desert/forest etc....... England is basically 3 mountains, 4 lakes and a national park. The rest is McDonalds and mobile phone shops. You can't pop out to the woods and target shoot, and when we say "garden" we rarely mean anything bigger than a patio and 20 foot square lawn.
Plus, why would your authorities bother with markers?
excuse me sir what's in the bag?
no, next to the desert eagle and under the hunting rifles.....

requesting backup, he has a tippman.........

totallt different over here, saying gun can have you arrested :)
