i think it is legal prvided that hedges/fences are of a certain height etc.

no-one will mind provided that you tell them first (by them i mean your neighbours) just call round and ask if they mindyou firing it, if they dont then go ahead, if they do, the don't!

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Never had any problems firing mine in the garden.
Don't do it particularly often, or late at night and nobody has ever moaned.:)

Just make sure you don't get spray or stray balls on their property (that includes their Cat, even if it is in your garden eyeing up the fish pond, ohh so tempting!) or washing  and you should be cool!

How conscientious of you to chrono before firing in your garden.

I use my 6 million dollar man bionic eye (free in the 1979 John Menzies Christmas Cracker Delux set)to chrono when firing in my backyard as well, but I never go over 284 fps.

A word of warning, when shooting paint in the back garden never ever chrono over 100,000,000 fps as this is Rail Gun velocity. Rail Gun's as we all know are WMD and your neighbours next door are liable to get their driveway cluster bombed and have a JDAM dropped in their Greenhouse.;) ;) ;)

Alright I could'nt resist it. Seriously unless you do have a chrono, I would'nt guarantee that your actually firing at 300 fps, regs and markers do creep up!!! I therefore suggest you do not use next doors Tickles for snap shooting practice.

Whatever happened to listening to your gun. You should be able to tell if it is hot or low just by its sound.
This is no substitute for a chrony, but a good skill to learn.

A good plan, but only when shooting under the speed of sound.

Last time we did that the sonic boom broke all the windows in South East Essex

How is broadmoor these days, that damn sonic boom thing again. When will these players ever learn, subsonic paintballs are the only ones to shoot, safety and all that.

Quite correct old man. I had a batch of those supersonic ones left over that are no longer tournament legal. Only problem, when one shoots over 400 fps, is the pesky things have a habit of lifting!

I shot down a Cessna, two magpies and the Goodyear Blimp last time I used em.

Seriously, although you stated that you chrono at 300 fps, you are in a relatively confined space, and 2 velocity creep is quite common so never assume your velocity is OK (I got hit by hot Spyder which the owner swore was ok last time he chrono'd it - 354 fps, right in the ass hurt like a mofo).

I don't know if there is a velocity cap for markers in backyards. I know there's some form of firearms classification (if gat breachs some form of velocity x mass x impact force calculus), Hotpoint can fill you in on it.
