Best advice, look around Nottingham and and ask the piercers questions, don't do it on the spur of the moment!
Place should look and smell clean and offer both male and female piercers. And have all sterile autoclaved equipment!
Depends where you want pierced but I wouldn't play for a week or two after getting anything 'sensitive' pierced.
Someone I knew at Uni had her hood done, later that week we were running for a for a bus when she fell over right next to us. Turned out the area was still sensitive and the run (and tight jeans) had over-stimulated her and caused a moment of over-enjoyment.
We only took the piss for a few months

Rosie - don't be afraid of a new piercing getting shot, I had a fragment of a grinder blade fly into a 3-day old piercing once (don't ask, you won't like the answer) and apart from stinging a bit, it was fine once I'd cleaned it up.
Vertical hoods on girls are also FTMFW
