Paintballer in a wheelchair

If anyone is interested in seeing some more disabled sport check out 'Murderball', it's a documentary about wheelchair rugby players and one of my all-time faves, not just 'cos it's about the wheeled ones but because it's a great little film about sport and competition;

and remember after the huge spendfest in the upcoming UK Olympic Games there will be a couple of weeks of paralympics using the same facilities, personally I'll be going to that as I'm more impressed by sprinters who don't have legs;)

As for playing disabled, you'd be amazed how many paintballers manage to get out there despite having missing limbs, bits of spines, bone marrow or neural tissue. One of the things that makes me proud to be a part of the whole business is just how happy people in this sport are to help someone get out there despite any problems they may have:cool::cool:

i have a friend that i go to uni with and he is in a wheelchair, and he asked me if it were possible for him to play paintball... to which my reply was, " i dont see why not, as long as people were considarte towards you and didnt give you a bit of extra loving" so he went to a local site and was truly chuffed and has even planned to go there again.

this is awsum much respect :)

Definitely gives me a boost towards getting back playing after I got a spine injury just over a year ago.

Wont be doing any run throughs any more, maybe a high speed waddle through.

Limbs don't grow back - you just have to deal with it and get on with life ;)
