Paintball Sponsorship, What have you given Back?

I never associated Relentless the team with relentless the drink until now...I had no idea there was any actual connection.

Me neither, I didn't make the connection until I looked at the Relentless Team's website.

No offence meant to any of the Relentless boys but I just really don't see the point in taking on the name of a product like that. You lose the individuality of a team name and emblem. What happens if you lose Relentless' sponsorship ? If Paintball team X loses the sponsorship of Dye or Eclipse or Smart Parts they don't have to completely change their name or team emblem. (Even if its a factory team they won't have to change the whole name.)

I'll be intrigued to see how things pan out for Relentless, But I don't think its an approach that most teams will willingly follow.

Saying that though....cool name and cool emblem

You should see us and the website our jerseys have exact Relentless logo. Most people recognise the logo on our jerseys straight away.
Especially the one addicted to Relentless

Ill admit ive seen the jersey with the logo, and to be honest i just thought you had nicked the logo, and i actually wondered what the company would think if they knew you had copied there logo lol

I did buy a can from the garage on the way home that day but i do noormally get some sort of stimulant drink on way home after reffing, did looking at the shirt make me think of relentless probably.

Though I think you could probably brand yourselves better. I think in this day and age of ballers, jealousy and the such if you were called team A for instsnce being sponsered by relentless than a team called relentless they would take more notice. I know i would of

pgi did a great story /artical on this subject.....one of the things to come out of it was things like printing a jersey for your sponsor and sending pictures to them also getting local papers involved in the whole thing, thus more brand awareness and exposure for paintball and your sponsors..

..god damn it have non of you got a subscription or do you all just look at the pictures, i read nearly every artical ....

lol we aren't picking on Relentless Tom, just using you guys as a case example

did you know that recently the recipe for relentless had to be changed because it was making the cans disintergrate/decay whilst on the shelves.

if we say a cup of coffee has 1 unit of caffeine in it, then relentless has 24.

maybe but up to the day it does kill you, you'll have the Energy, Stamina, Focus and Drive needed to suceed.

Hmmmmm, a team taking a name of an energy drink? That does seem a little excessive.
