...how else could we get more competetive people into paintball, seeing as most of the sites (Delta Force) don't even themselves know what it is and won't do it for the protection of their pockets

Even crazy ideas like doing assembly's at schools with a supair bunker would be a damn effective method...

TV - 'Faking It', a C4 program - contestants have a while to learn a new art and not be picked out by a pro scrutineer at the end, would be wicked to show people the skills you need in paintball

Anyone else got ideas they thought up?

It may sound a bit stupid, but what if they did paintball on a thing like Princess Nicky i'm sure that would get paintball a bit of promotion.
The USA manage to promote it well, so i think that we need to take a leaf out of there books:)

even the best idea could sound stupid - look at what the climbing industry invented to increase awareness and participation, i bet it sounded stupid the first time anyone heard it http://www.climbtherock.com/photos.html

although....what exactly is princess nicky?

ion-robbo - i think we have that at so few sites, and at my local site, people can seem quite scared of it, i offered a guy a quick game once and he was like 'ohhh no no i'd get my ass whooped'

I reckon a walk on sup air only day with rental markers would be good for recruitment, so people dont have to get a gun before they can do it, or like the KOTH Proto kit that gets rented out to a lucky team - that team could be people from off the street or a prize for the winning school in some sort of competition...

anyone got any inspiration?

Nicky from big brother is the star in it and basically the producer guy just sends her to do stuff. Kind of like the simple life if u ever watched that with paris hilton and nicole richie

get matches and tournaments on TV channels like Extreme sports that will get loads of promotion

I saw Extreme down at the Euro 5-man so they do know about paintball, they must get asked about putting it on their channel, or someone on here must know someone who maybe able to get it onto the channel, make it like ESPN and ESPN2 with coverage of different professional and amateur tournaments

that was in meadowhall (shopping centre in sheffield) the other week surely something could be set up like this in busy areas or even opening up a fire range in a place like this, giving say 20 shots for 2 quid :D would surely make people want to play the game;)

Someone between the age of about 12 n 15/16ish should try n get paintball on something like blue peter. I remember loads of random stuff on that and a few other programs did stuff similair.

Edit- we set up a sup air field at a random fair in the middle of Carlisle for people to have a go. Just used a basketball court and put up safety netting etc- unfortunately didnt get too many games in before we had complaints of stray paintballs so we jst set up a target range for the rest of the day. Still gave a few people a shot at sup air though.
