Pads are they worth it!!!!

Slide shorts tend to offer some padding over the crotch area, but nothing like teh protection of a box.

They are more for bum and hip protection when sliding.

Eclipse pads are wicked...highly recommended...

Most playing trousers have padding in that area anyway and slide shorts have a padded cup that protects your jewels. I doubt very much a box is a good idea if you are planning on diving at all. Think about it

I've never spoke to anyone who wears a box for PB. Then again, its not really a question you ask....

I wear a martial arts box...much comfier than a cricket one, and doesnt hinder my play in teh slightest...and..if it does..so what?

How exactly are your team going to thank you for losing your nuts, while making that all important run through that won teh game?
