The title of this thread says that "all" teams that dropped out have been taken to court. But in reading it, it sounds like it's only Red Heat so far. Be interesting to see if it does happen to other teams as well.)

Im not accusing you of anything because the lads are brilliant, and respect some of what you say in the argument. I think people are generally concerned that that some never signed paperwork, some did, and it has been misleading them.

If you aren't accusing me of anything, then why post it?
Yes, Top Gun owns 6E and if you look around, all reference to 6e has been removed from the PA site, PBUK etc... etc... except for a single ad which Top Gun pay for. In fact, the 6E marshalls are no more as one of them got stroppy over paint and Colin told them to sling their collective hooks.

As for this, big deal, the whole point of the PA was to play a closed league with consistency and the same teams EVERY month. I have never, ever been to a managers meeting for the PA, but I managed to pick all of this up. If certain teams didn't sign stuff, fine, just means that the rules were relaxed doesn't it.... so they got lucky.
And anyway....... I'll reserve judgement until I've seen a second side to the argument :) If there is a second side to it, as so far, no one has responded at all. May be for legal reasons, don't know. This thread was the first I'd heard about it.
And Tom...... regardless of whether it's right, wrong or a moral outrage, any team that signed for the PA, signed for 6 legs. I didn't like it, I was worried about whether we'd have a squad for the full year..... but I took a gamble, it went OK. So right or wrong, those were the terms and conditions of the PA it was on the application form, it was on the managers verification form.
And at least one of the people on here pleading ignorance complained about it to me in the car park at the first leg. He was worried about the same things as me.. remember, you, me, the wildcats, Shane and chester......????? (so he knew he'd signed for six then, seems to have forgotten). No names, he knows who he is. Maybe it isn't legally binding, I don't know. But can anyone actually deny that they knew the PA was an all or nothing tourney? If people didn't like it, they really should have said something before they started playing. Maybe some didn't know, if so, then they can't have had that form and didn't sign it..... you're lucky :)

I think he just meant only Red Heat had responded. Olli said halloween hadn't got one, How about Sheffield? Did you get one? (sounded like you did from the post)
Who else actually got one? So AndyDane is at least partially right..... as that's at least one team that dropped out and hasn't recieved one.
And bear in mind, we are a good few pages in and no-one has responded.
Still a chance this is the jape of the century by a comic genius isn't there?
And as you say quite correctly in your last line......
'bloody hell there is always some W_____ ready to read into things how he wants.'
I didn't think he was having a go at Red Heat :)

Not a prank......... this just went up on the PA site. Simple statement From Hatts.

I can confirm that a letter has been sent to the managers of the teams who quit the PA National League this year.

The letter expresses our disappointment, reiterates the original agreement and states that we have obtained legal advice. Part of that advice was to send a letter reminding team managers of their obligation.

Those contacted have been informed that they have 14 days in which to contact the PA, after which the matter will be taken further. To date the PA has not threatened to take anyone to court or sue anyone.

We are now and always have been, open to discussion.

On a personal note I am not happy that the PA has been forced down this route, however the PA made a commitment to all of its members based on the commitments made by all the teams and managers who agreed to take part before the start of the season.

The PA appreciates the support and professionalism of the teams who have stuck with us and we will continue to follow our original philosophy, aims and objectives to progress competitive paintball as a sport into 2006.

There ya go.

I'm completely new to the paintball scene and dont even have any idea who Red Heat are or why I'd want to have a "pop" at you. I'd read through the pages and I thought that Red Heat were the only team that had definitely received one, if someone else has said that they'd received one then I must have missed that post.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and not read more into a post than is actually there.

I must admit, even i new you had to pay for the whole series of events. But that doesn't change the issue of whether the events have been paid for, and being charged for again, possibly out of spite.
Have the powers that be lost their conscience, paintball is such a small community, that we have to work together to move forward.

This pettyness is not helping anyone.

1--as a simple matter of fact NO ONE has been taken to court as of yet.
2--what Red Heat? Nobody was taking a pop except you, at Andy D., and if it happens again I will enjoy banning you and since you no longer participate in paintball shouldn't miss it at all.
3--that would be "disbanded" and if you no longer care why are you responding and why did you and mad dog cook this whole thread up in the first place? Clearly, you are enjoying holding the PA's feet to fire as your hostility toward the PA is not exactly a secret.
4--been looking in the mirror again, Lee?

and this disbanded business your really not a funny person as im not laughing. So i really think before you post in future as a moderator you really need to think with your head not with your toes and get your facts right ! :D :p

EDIT ADDED: Then you are the only one not laughing and if you weren't functionally illiterate you might have gathered from my first post in this thread I believed you and mad dog cooked up this little stew. And if I can at least spell with my toes what's your excuse? :p TFP :)
