I hear, not saying I'm totally convinced about it either - I guess time will tell...

Got a feeling I might be shouting 'he is potting up' a bit more coaching at the PA :)

Mug em!! Out of paint every 10 seconds!! :)

Not really, they'll get an advantage of two or three balls per second as well. That and the fact that their ropes of paint will be consistently fast too, not up and down in RoF.

And is shooting fast really shooting properly? Surely shooting accurately is a better skill to have. And even if it wasn't, it is now ;)

Accuracy counts for nothing if the paint is in a solid stream..... you no longer need to aim as much, just move the rope of paint till it whacks someone :)

Same argument was used when semi's appeared... only bit I don't like is the velocity change. As Simon said, even with a heavy ball, you're still at around 10 ftlbs. Need to be around 340 to hit 12.

seeing that the crono limit will be 280 (no problem my marker is set at about that anyway)
what about crono penalties will that just be reduced by 20fps or do you have something ells in mind?

not shooting this idea down but

so when any one nips out to have a quick snap shot
he will have a rope of 15 coming out ,,,,,,

i tried this today and every time i put a couple of shots out
like a snap shot i hit either 5 or 6 bps every time ....

please dont think am having ago at the new rule just trying to get this idea straight in my head.......dont know if i like that idea or not........

so i take it everyone will be rushing to get there markers done
before the next event........yet more money i suppose........:D :D

no matter what anyone says this will put 95%of everyones rate of fire up,,,

Hardie, my understanding (which of course could be way off ;)) is if you have the 'proper' PSP/PA software on your gun the first three shots should be semi only. In which case snap shots should remain the same - 1 ball only. It only ramps up after those first three and the rate of pulls has to be faster than 5BPS.

If it's going at 15BPS and you wait a full second the ramp mode will reset itself and you have to start from the beginning again (3 shots of semi).

Hardie if your gun was ramping/bouncing that bad it would not be P.A. legal anyway.
As far as I understand it you need to achieve only 4-5 trigger pulls per second to obtain ramping. But after the two shots, for the snap shot, as soon as you release the trigger the marker should not fire again until you hit 4-5 trigger pulls per second again. You need a minimum of two pulls for the software to obtain your pulls per second and you will need to continue achieving 4-5 pulls per second to enable the marker to fire and ramp!
A snap shot would be just one or two pulls and in, not a constant fanning of the trigger. Are you running proper ramp software, or have you just set some bounce into your marker?

With modern gats like Matrixes, DM4/5s, Egos, timmies etc, it's very easy to get 4 or 5 shots off when snapping out and back in.

I have to disagree here Jose, with that much paint being chucked around, you've got to get out, put your first ball on target, and be back in before the opposition backman moves his stream of paint onto you :)

I say this will put 99.999% of everyones rate of fire up. Personally, I reckon there's probably literally only one of maybe two people in UK tourney ball that can legitimately hit 15, and sutain it for a second, without any assistance from their trigger or software. People are going to be very very suprised when their "easily achievable 18 r 19" suddenly speeds up when they're ramping to 15 ;)
