LOL @ thread
sure its not a big deal.
can you really imagine nearly everyone in the UK being swindled??!

For the record I think there is only 1 at present commercially available Pi reg.

Sadly mate it comes down to those who supply us air and the impact it has on there insurance. So if the likes of HPAC turn round and say for insurance purposes that they have to follow these rules then we are indeed all in need of new regs...

and the marker

But the jist of it is, any pressure rated equipment must be correctly tested and marked to show it's conformity to the PED (pressure equipment directive).

and the internal marker reg. And come to think of it the entire marker.
The marker itself should be pressure rated and tested.
I would love to see some companys data on there destruction testing. Sarcasm off.

What a lot have you have missed is if the UKPSF is saying it is illegal it is ! The reason being is the UKPSF talks to the insurance companies and places an air fill policy out to sites that they must follow. The likes of H Pac have nothing to do with this. If H Pac fill these bottles on site they might be able to under their insurance. But the site will not be able to allow you to use them on their insurance. The UKPSF does a hell of a lot of work behind the scenes that you guys do not see. They work hand in hand with the national paintball club, trying to make a network of sites across the country that you know are safe ! They also get info and laws direct from the HSE and the Home Office etc.

This is why the UKPSF is trying to get all players insured at a cost of £12.50 it gives you peace of mind if your bottle blows up and injures someone. Should an accident happen the HSE can close a site down till it is investigated. That site is then going to sue you for lose of earnings ! But if you have insurance you don't have to worry as your home / car etc will be safe if you can't afford to pay the claim !

Anyone who has taken a reg of their bottle and changed it etc has made their bottle illegal as well as you are not qualified to do that. So once again if an accident happens and Mr HSE comes along as sees your reg is not the original you are in a whole world of **** !!

How can that be true if your able to buy loads of bottles and regs individually anyway to mix and match how you like?
