I wonder how Steve Bull must now be deliberating in this whole Shakespearean tragedy - he must be thinking about whether or not to go ahead with barnett as a partner in stargate ... Bully must be uttering something like this in his mind:-

'to b [arnett], or not to b [arnett], that is the question' ....

Sorry, couldn't resist it ....... but if Steve Bull is contemplating this dilemma, he'd need some form of assurances from barnett like 'money up front' for the use of Steve's site etc
The other worrying aspect is that if Steve demanded certain conditions to be met prior to holding the event, how could he trust barnett's word he'd keep to anything?
In fact, it's almost a 100% certainty barnett would agree to anything to keep Steve on side but it's also nearly certain that barnett would contravene any promises or guarantees he'd made to Bully .... The only thing that could possibly rescue barnett is a four letter word that will strike terror into barnett's heart.......... 'cash' ..... and therein lies his problem - Oh my, what a pickle !!

Anyone already engaged in business with him, if they do start to question that association, must be in a sure fire dilemma, more so that any individuals that have kept quiet.

If he already owes money then do you pull away, knowing pretty certainly that he'll turn on you and try and stuff you financially, or do you try and gently distance yourself whilst trying to get what is owed when you know he'll understand what is happening.

Either way it's a problem to get out clean.

It must be obvious by now that he'll do the dirty on anyone that stops being of use to him. We've seen it first hand with Simin and Gino both ending up in that position, despite thinking they had a good relationship and it was everyone else just telling tales.

There are a lot more people that know a lot of what has gone on, but haven't spoken out. As GOoch and Rob say, it's actually quite liberating to speak freely and not give a hoot what some people think.

As I see it, his stargate event will prove to be make or break for him and even if he manages to somehow squirm out of trouble, his days are still numbered.
I'm not gonna say too much or compromise any assurances I've given but I think I can at least say, if I were a betting man, I'd be backing a no-show for stargate at about 5 -1 on, and yes, I do mean 'on'.
I think there'll be hurdles that must be negotiated to clear a path for the event to continue with barnett still involved, and these 'hurdles' will prove insurmountable for him leastwise in my opinion they will.

When you keep robbing Peter to pay Paul, it's only a matter of time before circumstance upends your plans and you're left with nothing but the broken promises you've made and bills to pay ... it's a disastrous place to be when you're in business but there's not one person in paintball who could legitimately describe it as 'unfair'.
This is entirely the fault of one individual .... from the very first day he began to infect our industry/sport, his pernicious involvement has been sculpting his own demise.
By the way, we've had over 16,000 views in this last week since the story broke; this thread, for better or worse has broken all records by a mile.
And so we can legitimately speculate that the popcorn vendors have just run out [again] - it seems, scandal sells but let's face it, we knew that already because of the 132,000 views beforehand :/

If Staargate this year is anything like 2013 and 2014 then i can imagine Steve will be calling it quits with TB as attendance has gone down hill since falling out with the vast majority of business after the 2012 Staargate as well as making it HIS paint only.

I think Steve is his own man and will do things above board as he has always done; he will undoubtedly factor in those people who have paid their money and will try to do the right thing by them.
However, Steve's options are limited here in the sense that I'm pretty sure he realises there can be no continuance with any credit lines extended.
In my opinion, this all comes down to money, and whether enough money is paid over in sufficient time; I don't know what Steve plans to do but I do know he will put the interests of the paid-up players first.
And in doing so, it means he has to approach the next few days with a plan of action that reflects his concerns for those players and not so much his partners.
In my not-so humble opinion ...

If I may offer my opinion.....I think there may be one other important player involved in this.

What if Ledz stepped in to keep Staargate afloat?

The Sandbaggers have always supported the UWL, and I wouldn't be surprised if Planet stepped in to run the series next year. Then again, Ledz's days of getting up at daft o'clock to run tournaments at Congleton are long gone.

GI might also want to run the UWL, if Warped don't take it up.

Also, Ledz has been a supporter of big games for quite a while - wasn't last year's Staargate billed as the Planet Eclipse big game?

It might well prove to be too short notice for anyone else to get involved at this late a stage because if I know barnett, if he can't run it as planned, he'll do anything and everything to fuhk things up for someone else whilst shoving any money he's grabbed into his back-pocket.
And also, what about the money already handed over to sables?
Either he has it in its entirety or he's been handing it over to barnett as it came in.
The latter possibility might prove disastrous for sables if barnett pulls the plug and leaves sables as the patsy for all the customers who've paid and now want their money back .... oh my, wouldn't that be an unwelcome dollop of irony for sables to swallow as the führer's right-hand man and chief haemorrhoid.

But seriously, this does not bode well for the paid-up players because their fate is inextricably linked to the location of the ticket money and to circumstances as they unfold ..
Ya never know, sables might finally see the light and do the honourable thing and sever all links because the way it's going, the sh!t is gonna hit the fan like a bullet.

PS I do know of someone who may well be in a position to take over but let's see what happens beforehand.

Yet another sorry incident ....

As you guys can perhaps imagine my inbox is pretty busy as people feel less inhibited or less intimidated about posting their experiences.
Someone like barnett will bully people when he can but if he knows he's not able to contend with someone who will not stand for his BS, his bullying personality takes a back seat and he puts his yellow vest on ...

With that in mind, this next revelation will maybe resonate more with the people who were attending this following event at the time ....here is an account of the sennybridge saga which I can't verify but others can.

Apparently, It's took 3 years to get SennyBridge for paintball after what shoreline did to the site.
LandMarc at Sennybridge, has said that shoreline never had a license to run the other event he had promoted and sold tickets for but he then switched to Holmbush stating the MOD needed the site.

They had withdrawn barnett's license for all Landmarc sites the previous year as he had left the site in such a state.
Apparently, they had to get a cleaning crew in to clean it all up.
This means barnett was even ripping off the sheep that blindly follow him around.
The people at Sennybridge also said there were a number of injured players at hospital that shoreline had just left stranded and a lot couldn't speak English.

As I say, I cannot vouch for this but if it's true, then I'm pretty sure there'll be enough people out there to confirm it.
Personally, it doesn't surprise me one bit and the account seems to read authentic which is why I've posted it up.
Let's see what happens ....
