Thing is, until Mr Cole does the deal with someone over here and they get the feck on with it and announce a real UWL Barnett is free to continue claiming whatever he wants. As much as I dislike SL I know for a fact that there are a number of teams out there, not directly associated with SL, who want to play the UWL format and are willing to sign up ASAP, regardless of who's running it.

It's all well and good screaming foul but as far as UK woodsball is concerned we NEED someone to put their money where their mouth is and step up to put on a better league using this proven format.

As you say Rewind, it wouldn't be staying up for long but at least some people would see it ... and hopefully pass it on before it got taken down.
barnett is committing financial suicide here because he will have already known he's not gonna be running the UWL next year.
As soon as I posted up the fact some weeks ago that barnett is being stripped of the UWL, barnett will have got in touch with Tommy to find out for himself.

And so, I can only assume that barnett is ignoring what Tommy told him and going ahead with his own version and hoping to cash in on people who have some loyalty to him and don't really care if it's the real-deal UWL or not ..
My point is though, he's telling people he is STILL running the UWL and he's setting himself up [again] for a mighty big fall because fact is, he ain't running it and so what a first-class prihk he's gonna look when the new promoter is announced.

H, I'm pretty sure that barnett cannot just pick up and run with the UWL branding though this would only be enforceable if a contract was signed and I'm not sure if there was one.
The legitimacy of any claim by barnett relating to the UWL will come from here ... at some stage, Tommy will get in touch and let us all know who the new promoter is gonna be ...
You gotta remember something here, on one side we have a lying megalomaniacal narcissist and on the other, we have two industry heavyweights, Gino and Tommy Cole saying something different ..... ya takes your money, ya takes your pick !!!

Someone please correct me here if im wrong but surely this is a golden opportunity to put the nails in the coffin if there was a public announcement too say that TB will not be running UWL and that they are searching for the right candidate. especially since Barnett just released that he's taking bookings for 2016

One question is, who owns the UWL, Ultimate Woodsball League brand name in the UK? If Tom wasn't astute enough to register it in the UK but Dim was, then there is probably nothing that can be done about it. If it belongs to Tom, then he has to take Snoreline to court, and that is an expensive and drawn out process.

I think on the fb groups something should be said, from Gino or Cole stating that "UWL isnt being run by Barnet, so dont pay up, but the new promoter will be identified in a few days or so.."
Could generate some new hype for it too.

I think you'll find barnett lost staargate some time back even though he might protest otherwise.
I'd think we'll hear in a couple of weeks as to who might be taking over staargate but I think it will be a popular change anyway.
Mind you, any move away from barnett is gonna be a popular choice I suppose.

barnett seems to possess a tremendous capacity to self-delude in the sense he's said he is still going to run staargate [wrong!] and the UWL [wrong!] and so I wonder who the fuhk he's trying to kid here, maybe he's trying to convince himself, who knows :/
