looks like Tommy needs to step up and make the call. My guess is that the 'you don't have it' call has not been made yet.

Gino has just messaged me and confirmed that barnett will NOT be having anything to do with the real UWL .... barnett is committing fraud here if he's trying to take money for an event / event series that he has nothing to do with.

Tommy has yet to get back to me but when Gino takes a time-out to tell me something, then I'm gonna run with that ... if and when Tommy gets back to me later on, I'll let everyone know as and when.
In the meantime, to all our paintball cousins over in the rec/scenario/woodland scene, it's best you don't send barnett any money because I got a sneaky feeling it will be heading for his back-pocket in lieu of getting out altogether ....

Addendum: while I was typing the previous post, Gino reiterated what he said earlier and added that Tommy has already had five people ask him about whether barnett is gonna be running the UWL [I bet Tom is getting well pis$ed off with it all:) ] and once again, Tommy has made it absolutely clear [To Gino] that barnett will NOT / NEVER be running Tommy's UWL series again ... end of !!!

There's a case to answer that if barnett takes one prepayment for entry into an event called the 'UWL' ..he will be committing fraud.
In which case, it would be down to Tommy to sue barnett but I doubt that will happen for obvious reasons.

I think the best we can hope for is, we now have the pleasure of quite a lot of members on p8ntballer who were previously supporters/asscoiates etc of barnett before they saw the light or they were screwed over, and I would ask these people to send a link to this thread to all the people they are aware of who might well have signed up to the UWL, barnett's version of it anyway.
At the least, I would also ask these members to just tell as many people over on the woodland side of our sport what's going on ... I don't think there can be that many who don't read this thread but just in case ... spread the word please, for everyone's sake.

I don't think venues would be an issue.

There are are a lot of burnt bridges that need rebuilding and you can't stick ash together with sticky-tape.

But there clearly has been a lot of effort made by the reps from Valken Europe to attend UK events and promote the brand so hats off to them.

The main problem and that is the demographic that SL appeal to are teenagers, so if they want a slice of the UK version of the UWL then google is going to spout out the BS first and foremost and this will keep Mr B in money until he inevitably does a bunk.

I'm no expert on this but as far as I see it, if there has been no official announcement that Shoreline will no longer be running the event then he can carry on promoting it. If he gets teams signed up in advance and then is officially removed he can still run the events and simply change the name. Shoreline won't refund tickets in their T&Cs so teams will be stuck with it.
