It's obvious from what you've posted, you've made a difficult decision that seems to have been made because of what you describe as the 'negative attention' the event has attracted.
I think your decision is understandable but the writing has been on the wall for a few months now ....
In essence, the awards evening was a good idea but it has always been tainted because barnett had been pulling the strings behind the scenes ... he utilised it and it became synonymous with his involvement and control, to whatever degree he wielded.
All the things you identify as reasons for calling it a day would not have been levelled against you or the event had there been no involvement from barnett, this is the incontrovertible truth of the matter.
Cambo, I don't really know you and any attacks I have made have been personalised but not with reference to you and it seems such a shame that if you are what you seem, then a better course of action might be to talk to other people with a view to repackaging the awards night.
There are now people such as Mick Bebe, Lee Wickham, and Dave Thatcher, all of whom are respected and just as importantly, have no connection with barnett whatsoever.
This is an opportunity for the awards night to disinfect itself from barnett and to move it forward ..... it might be an idea to reconsider Cambo .... there are some good people around who will be willing to help, I wish you well whatever your decision.

No mention of Tim's cause of any reason. Yet if you read between the lines.......
It would be good to see an awards that was supported across the industry, not just by Dim and his cronies.
I can see we are giving Cambo the benefit of the doubt, although that statement has a similar tone of shifting the blame towards the "keyboard warriors" to what we have heard elsewhere. However, I'm sure that, if you want to start afresh, without the involvement of Shoreline and it's current/former directors, Pete, the rest of the UK industry and the community will be supportive. It has been the involvement of Shoreline and it's directors that has brought all the negative comments.

Didn't the PBAs use Snoreline's online back end for tickets and such?

To me, it seems like the sort of thing the UKPSF should be central at organising. Voting should be limited to UKPSF members and there should be a proper voting period at the end of the year like a normal awards system rather than the stupidity of a voting window per event.

Most of the industry is now anti-shoreline, why would they attend an awards night that puts money into Suzi and Tims purse?
