Hi I've not posted on here yet but I'd like to say I've had issues securing sites due to the mess he leaves behind.

We have just returned from running a game at Sennybridge and it took us a lot to secure the site due to past experiences with paintball (his company). I am proud to say they were so impressed with our safety and clean up they have offered us the site again. I was also told by one of his close friends the only reason the Tango Down was run was because we had a magfed game in the pipework for August. He was that angry that we planned our Sennybridge game so close to Stargate.

Wow, that sounds just how a scenario game should be run. 4 refs for how many players?

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure it'll be completely safe though. After all, that large number of Marshalls will be hanging out intensely.

Does he actually realize how much effort is going to be required to clean up such an environment from paintballs being fired from such close quarters,even if they are using clear paint the mess from the paint fill and shell is going to go everywhere.

3 or 4 of the shoreline sheep with mops & buckets cleaning paint from every nook and cranny..................good luck with that

Just to say the following is my own rememberence of events that happened a number of years ago, any speculation is mine and is just that, speculation.

Safety seems to have been of variable priority at events over the years. At CtD 2 the basic gist I got of the weekend was 'if anything goes wrong, it's tough, just be safe'. Whilst I can't say for certain what went on behind the scenes, from what I saw there seemed little in the way of reducing the risk of the intensity of the site. The first night there one of the people sleeping in the same room passed out with suspected hypothermia (one of the dog soldiers iirc) and the rest of us cursed him for a lucky barsteward as we just thought he was the only person able to sleep in the -14c conditions. The second night the car park essentially became a campsite as a lot of people widely chose to sleep in their cars rather than face the elements again.

I also remember getting yelled at at the wedding day massacre up in Annan. There were three of us marshalling the 'airsoft' kill house and the mini games on the Saturday. Now I started in speedball and moved to the woods (odd way round I know) so chronying has always been a priority, safety first after all. On the last game of the day before the players party more people than anticipated wanted to play, and as we only had two chronographs between three of us there was a backlog. This seemed to irk tb somewhat, but rather than help out, say produce more handheld chronys and get stuck in checking everyone, it seems the better course of action in that instance was to blame me for not moving people through the chrony station quick enough. And here was me thinking player safety trumped speed!

The Andy Sables part is brilliant , don't know the guy ,have no animosity to him personally and take other peoples opinions as just that.....but

Get a photo taken drinking champagne with Tim knowing that he owes Valken money and is selling paint supplied through the back door to avoid paying this debt off, then say he's not really got anything to do with this is staggeringly naïve to say the least , the writing is on the wall , on the boxes of paint and on the ****ing T-shirts...my god .....he'd better start blowing up his water wings cause HMS Barnet is ****ing sinking and it seems to be in a big ass Egyptian river...

And to any Shoreline staff reading this , I very often don't agree with Robbo, you would evidently be surprised that a few of us haven't at various points and the proof is written on this site in black and white going back 11 years ..we do not spout p8ntballert rhetoric although please feel free to disbelieve me and convince yourself I tow a 'party line' , look back at my posts ...I don't blindly attack your company or your fuhrer , but the 126 pages of this thread are not written by industry illuminati they are opinions of a player base and I cant ignore that .....although in all honesty, I don't care... its more like watching a car crash and having time to decide if you want to throw in some kittens, I thought this thread was dead and buried...now I reckon I'll make 200 pages and you'll be out of a job (which I also understand you are rightfully protecting) ,anyhoo..when the inevitable happens I'm in need of stooges to repeat what I say verbatim.... if your interested

It's quite refreshing to see some people coming out and telling us all about their experiences with barnett - I wish these people would have given their accounts a couple of years back but I suppose things happen in their own time.
I think the biggest difference this time around as against the last time it erupted with barnett is the number of barnett's defenders coming on p8ntballer.
To my knowledge, we haven't deleted any posts [please let me know if I'm wrong here] that would have been described as one of barnett's cronies spouting cr@p.
The tide has obviously turned ....

One last thing, and this refers to sables directly - you've come under fire of late [and before] for one very good reason ... your continued 'association' with barnett .... you cannot continue that relationship and expect nothing to happen, there will always be consequences and even though you've tried to distance yourself from him, your actions speak differently.
You have allowed him to use you in terms as a payment conduit for stargate and so this means you took the money and then funnelled it back to him enabling barnett to continue business ... you cannot deny this !!!!

And so, if you are gonna go round telling people you've got nothing to do with him, then be a man, cut your ties and let people know you've done so .... anything less than that keeps you in the frame, and rightly so if indeed you haven't cut those ties.
It is the nature of our sport that if you now announce you've 'cut all ties' etc .... don't think for one second you can maintain those ties and still support him in secret ... and so, if you intend to cut ties, do it, don't play games with any of us like you've done in the past and it will be over for you.

I give you my word [and I don't give a flying cr@p if you believe me or not but ask others who know me, they'll tell you I'm good for my word] I will leave you completely alone if you make the break you should have made years ago.
I will forget all the cr@p you've said about me, I will forget everything in a heartbeat if you do the right thing and save your own ass here ... cos I tell you something sables, when this starts to crumble for barnett [which indeed it is already] do you really think he's gonna look after you ???
He's gonna do exactly what he's done to others many times before, you'll be thrown under the bus when barnett starts drowning... you know this to be true sables...
That guy is hurting you and your business, when the fuhk are you gonna realise he's not doing you any favours, if you take any longer, it's too late.

One last thing sables - if you do the right thing, I'll even start capitalising your name .... such small mercies eh sables?

Dskize post highlights the gulf between what sables says and what sables does .... he can't go round messaging people that he's nothing much to do with barnett after what Dskize has mentioned ... this is why sables has come under so much sh!t, he doesn't help himself when he does things like that photo taken of him and barnett drinking champagne on Gino's money ..... it's not so much sable's naivety Dskize, it's his arrogance.

I think it would surprise people how many of us have disagreed with Pete over various things. Pete to his credit will consider the opinion of people who make sense, some people think Pete will automatically dismiss an idea or an opinion but he is the first to see both sides and the first to apologise if he makes a mistake. That's the measure of a man in my opinion.

Ok guys, remember my post earlier that had a kind of cryptic message, the one where I talked of treachery etc?
Good, because here's what I was referring to but before I post it, I wish to put it into some form of context.

I've always believed that people such as barnett and sables are genetically descended from snakes.
They go through life with little thought to the people around them.

barnett is a clinical case of megalomania unlike sables who's an opportunist in life.
sables has few resources and this is why he resorts to the sort of behaviour he indulges in.

And as long as sables can slither and slide in the background, he's happy to ply his trade..

He's never been one of the top retailers in our country, far from it, he thinks he is but go look at his outfit and if you do, don't even bother taking a cat on a length of string with you.

Below is a copy of a series messages sent to Gino that was meant to create a back-door for himself and at the same time give the impression he was distancing himself from barnett.
It is a nut-curlingly sychophantic dollop of treachery that belies belief.

And so, here it is, the game-winner that kills two birds with one stone.. How can poor poor barnett trust sables again ... Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
