I ain't got a prob with pads...

tha opposite in fact...my beef is with people saying on one hand 'we're an extreme sport' and on tha other 'Owww, rocks..nasty.'

Deal with it - if we are doing an extreme sport than there are inherent risks...you don't get mountain bikers complaining bout 4 foot drop-offs and off camber roots.

I we ain't doing an extreme sport then fine, mopan about rough fields and nasty trees - but you can't have your cake and eat it...unless you're a back player, obviously, then you can eat a whole roast hog.

That may be TJ2, but I think you can't compare those two sports on those points. I think mountainbikers live for the rush they get off jumping canyons and god knows what else, they want to show they're man/woman enough to put aside their fears of falling off and be seriously hurt just to tell the tale. Paintballplayers don't battle cliffs.....they battle eachother, and to do that you have to be able to run like hell without runnig the risk of getting seriously hurt by rocks on the ground.........the paintballs will hurt them enough hopefully :)
However I do think that players, especially pro's, should not bitch and moan about a few rocks when they wear protective clothing/gear.
Hoping my point has come across,

peace!
