Sometimes play woodsball for a laugh, not something I take serious though ;)

I remember being scared of Pete when he wore those skull faced goggles! But then I remembered that my dad kept shooting him so the nightmares went away :p I was only 6 years old of coarse!

Here is the Bart's in the early years ...

Even though then NWC were the enemy back then Pete - I still love you :)

Seriously, it would be fab to see a woodland tournament scene on par with sup'air tournaments - but I don't think it will happen. The game is always changing - I have never seen it go backwards, its moving towards a recognised sport instead of a recreational hobby. The game was VERY different back then. If the pro's played pro's now at their game they will be punished and possibly vice versa. But I do like the idea of it

Maybe we could fix up an exhibition game to take place over lunchtime at an existing event this year.

I think JCS at Elsham can offer both Sup'air and Woods fields, and they are running the PA XBall events this year as you know.

So, if you could rustle up a few old pros from the dirty south, and if I can round up a few here in the north, maybe we could have an old skool north v south, 1 game on Sup'air and 1 in the woods?

And something like this might be the starting point for something bigger.

Let me know what you think.

:)

The PA Events are of course at Lincoln, so maybe they can help out with a woods field.

I know plenty of old school pro's - these are mostly the Bart's, The Preds and the Eagles. But getting them all together would be a mission to say the least. I believe Twizz tried once with the Preds but this was a renunion.

Events wise I know Southern Quarter in Bricketwood has woodland and speedball fields, and Wendy is now using the site for the UK masters - its a possibilty if someone wants to step up and do the dog work - if you know what I mean? There will be a lot of pulling strings, perhaps a good cause charity event will make it happen. And you never know we might get some 'Old School' fighting to add to the show :D
