I don't think this would work for the following reasons:-

1. It's really difficult to chronograph zimmer frames & wheelchairs;
2. The smell of mothballs & vapour rub would be overpowering;
3. All the oldies would drink the tea van dry, so Russ would cry;
4. The old skool excuses for playing on would baffle the marshals - "don't you know who I am?";
5. Everyone would play in the back line, shooting their markers at the floor trying to make them "go liquid";
6. Some players might expire whilst on the field due to extreme age and/or infirmity (don't laugh, it's happened to me);
7. The stick feeds would get tangled in the branches.

I'd still play, though.

:)
Now i know i shouldnt but i laughed so much at this... in fact i am still laughing.. i should be offened being one of the 'old' players
Do you mean to say that 'Dont you know who i am' isnt a valid reason to get out of any rule break anymore?? what has the worl of paintball come to :eek:)

To which the marshals would reply "Don't you know who I am?" "No" "Good, then we're even."

This is PRECISELY what I've been after for ages, competitive woodsball is on the up and up, it just needs some of the people in the know to help bring it all together

so not to sully the player and his team reputation

playing on is just wiping but using the ground or a bunker when you get a chance..

I think the refs would need to carry around old editions of PGI (1989 - 2000) to identify the players, to avoid any embarrassment.

After all, we wouldn't want any ex-members of, say, the Bart's pulled for something as trivial as hidden allen keys!

And playing paintball again might cheer up Adam Woodyatt - he always looks so depressed in Eastenders.

"Sniff". Makes me all nostalgic!

The Terminators and the Barts wearing all black, and everyone else in camo.....Ollie Potts refusing to take off his sunglasses, even when in the shower.....NWC intimidating everyone.......Tim Taylor playing for the Rat Pack....

Glory days indeed.

Anyone else care to contribute to this trip down memory lane?

I'll get the ball rolling:-

1. Russ with hair (and teeth), before the stress of organising the PA cruelly robbed him of his movie star looks.
