Baca, it has hit a stumbling block yes but it ain't dun yet, integration at this point isn't all about convenience, other pressures will soon be bought to bear and this will help refocus people's attention on finance.
The reality of 2006's contracted budgets have yet to hit home and when they do, perhaps the stumbling blocks getting in the way of this unification might begin to evaporate somewhat so I wouldn't write it all off just yet...there are a few hands still to be played out.

Anyway, unfortunately reunification isn't going to happen I don't think, so it's all moot.
Who needs Momma Lambini's Crystal Ball?

For my next trick I will predict that PSP will counter with allowing Dynasty, XSV, Avalanche, Doc's, Dogs, Infamous etc. to play in an enlarged NXL, and will then claim that it is they, not the PSP, who have the true Pro league as they have the genuine top 12 or so teams in the world playing in their league.

That will be enough to see the format live on - although I still wouldn't bet against PSP making overtures to the CFOA to try and do some sort of tie-in.

Not so fast there Duffster, although it may have hit a snag, well a couple of snags to be more eprecise, I think there is still a chance that integration will happen when the industry start to unveil their sponsorship intentions for 2006.
Any position, however intransigent it may seem the NPPL may be adopting, could soon change once PP start to do the finance forecasts for next year.
After all, it's money that talks in this world and Chuck might well be assuming a position that is untenable in the light of next year's contracting budgets.

If I was Chuck, I would be worried that somebody is now looking for a jar of mint sauce......Baaa, baaaaa !!!!
Hmmmmmmm.....

Getting Up Again
we know there were talks.

we never expected to hear anything substantial till after Commander's Cup.

Stuff will be leaking out between then and now and some people will be talking to other people more intensely.

More folks seemed interested in next weekend than they did with whatever was happening on the x-ball court at Cup.

I don't get a vote - but you know what it would be.

And let's not forget - current sponsors are pulling back - but there are always new ones to fleece (there ya go Pete) for the new season.

hmmm, ...

ok, after all, a guess could also be, nppl wins the fight with offering the most value for the sponsors, vendors, media, players and the public.
No doubt that their way of promoting their events is far more professional as everyone else is doing. Some may find it a stupid question, but what is the nppl/ pps benefit of reunification?

A unified circuit thereby halving the costs for vendors and sposnors who support both events.

A unified circuit providing the platform for a true new world order whereby we can all adopt a common set of rules and format.

A unified circuit that can truly represent the best in paintball to the outside world and 'out of industry' sponsors.

A unified circuit that........

Need I say more?

Missy, keep ya fone switched on......

@robbo, for the benefit of paintball as such, one worldwide circuit would be the best, no doubt about that. But isnt there a quite good chance of that thing happening, but with having just the nppl being the world series?
If vendors have to decide for finacall reasons where to go, what would you seriuosly think they are going to? Where would you go?

From my little outsiders perspective it all looks like everyone is accepting (now) that the nppl is the big cake with all the cherries on top.
With that in mind where is the real benefit for a series like nppl to share themselves to the ones who tried to stop them. Like Miami in 2003 where it was more then obvious that some vendors didnt come of political reasons. Might be ironic but 2 years later, it looks (as said from my little perspective) that everyone is trying to be at the cup.
