sorry to here that buddy, i know it sucks big style!

anyone who signs contracts in the future be aware they are legally binding, so if you dont fancy a two year deal (just in case) then try and negotiate a 1 +1 with a get out after the first if required

hope you get it sorted bro, gotta see ya ballin again soon!

It's actually part of the league's transfer rules. If I recall correctly Trauma could have offered some sort of compensation for the players rights. Of course, maybe they did?

btw, I could be wrong. The rules are a well kept secret. ;)

Why would it be transfer rules? If they change teams from a non NXL team (which RL was last season) to an NXL team there should not be any problems. Also, Mikko the Fin changed to the Ironmen and that went alright. Have heared that Mikko never signed a contract with Sergei though and that´s why he could just up and leave.

Maybe I´m wrong though

As one of my friends say who spent time there with RL, the place is big and grey filled with unhappy people and snow. I gues for Mikko it wasnt anything new but for a guy from brazil....

And on the "I buy my freedom" thingy I got one snippet of info about a big name NXL teammember. He needs to pay 8000+ buckooos to be able to play for a different team here in EU.

Peace

I believe this is a seperate thing - Sergei has some (all?) of his players on contract. As was said elsewhere, if you're going to put time and money into individuals then you want to protect your investment.
