Dynasty is a cash machine, they have created a viable Brand in paintball with value added. It would be a horrible mistake for them to play as ME or anything other than Dynasty in any league. Even if most people know its them. If the NXL does go any where the rights to the franchise name are going to be tied up. Even if they structure them selves like Dallas Cowboys have in NFL, (dallas is one of few that owns their stadium and owns far more rights to their licensed product) Mostly likely they would lose the ability to be 'Dynasty' in any other league.
To bad for the NXL. The Fox Deal is all paintball needs. Chop up the events and produce highlights with recap edited sessions at the end high lighting the top teams in the finals. Paintball continues to grow at alarming rates. It is only helped by any TV exposure. I hope RL and a few others realize they need to hedge their bets and qualify for the NPPL pro s7 next year before the lock. What an interesting bit for forsight by the PP guys for the lock... or was it luck? I highly doubt so much pressure would have been on the nXL guys had the new lock rule not been put in the books.
Hey Evil One - what about 'Miami Dynasty'?
Sounds ok.......'ish
I agree 100% with what you say about Fox's production though but as for some of us Euros hedging our bets, I'm afraid that opportunity was only open to a few of us because of lack of sponsorship and resources.
As I see it, Joy, Ton Tons and Nexus will be ok and so will RL but only if they decide to go to Denver and the last two NPPL's (along with the 2 ranking Millennium tourneys).
Shockwave have already played HB, so realistically they have the opportunity if they can muster resources to get out to two more plus the required Millenniums but outisde of that, Europe is not going to be represented as the present situation stands.
I honestly think some people over here have grown long necks, lay big eggs, run fast and spend a lot of their time with their head pointed downwards merely because their options were limited, perhaps a more responsible strategy should have been employed.
Anyway, hope to see you soon A, probably in Denver, till then duuuuuuude
