I talked with an LA Ironmen last night at indoor, he wasn't aware any of this was going down. Once he heard though he was already asking teams if they were interested in taking him to Denver... it looks like the players as whole just want to play more paintball.

One of Bob's guys said it was cool they were going to get to play Denver, but he said he wasn't the one pushing for it because he enjoys X-Ball so much.

Hrmm Dynasty in the NXL, that'd be a site to see. The only other stumbling block I can see is signing the rights of their team name over... I don't see them doing that any time soon.

Not to mention their city is already taken :)

If they REALLY wanted to play then they could just come up with a new team name and play under that when in the NXL and preserve their Dynasty name for anything else they play. Maybe use TJ as their home city, if that's even a city. Sorry, never been there.

10 posts to get to Dynasty? What is going on?

One of the major selling point of the NXL just got ceded.

This is the major "political will" item that the NXL had. Now 2/3 of the owners don't hold to it.

I hope that the death of the NXL doesn't spell the death of Xball. I hope that Dick Clark owns the NXL, not Xball. Xball is fun.

One main reason that makes me think that DC doesn't own Xball is that you cannot film NXL games because of DC's production rights and just recenly someone (I think 720 video) put out a dvd from LA that consists of half Xball (not NXL) matches and half 10man.

Dynasty is a cash machine, they have created a viable Brand in paintball with value added. It would be a horrible mistake for them to play as ME or anything other than Dynasty in any league. Even if most people know its them. If the NXL does go any where the rights to the franchise name are going to be tied up. Even if they structure them selves like Dallas Cowboys have in NFL, (dallas is one of few that owns their stadium and owns far more rights to their licensed product) Mostly likely they would lose the ability to be 'Dynasty' in any other league.

To bad for the NXL. The Fox Deal is all paintball needs. Chop up the events and produce highlights with recap edited sessions at the end high lighting the top teams in the finals. Paintball continues to grow at alarming rates. It is only helped by any TV exposure. I hope RL and a few others realize they need to hedge their bets and qualify for the NPPL pro s7 next year before the lock. What an interesting bit for forsight by the PP guys for the lock... or was it luck? I highly doubt so much pressure would have been on the nXL guys had the new lock rule not been put in the books.

Hey Evil One - what about 'Miami Dynasty'?
Sounds ok.......'ish :)

I agree 100% with what you say about Fox's production though but as for some of us Euros hedging our bets, I'm afraid that opportunity was only open to a few of us because of lack of sponsorship and resources.
As I see it, Joy, Ton Tons and Nexus will be ok and so will RL but only if they decide to go to Denver and the last two NPPL's (along with the 2 ranking Millennium tourneys).
Shockwave have already played HB, so realistically they have the opportunity if they can muster resources to get out to two more plus the required Millenniums but outisde of that, Europe is not going to be represented as the present situation stands.

I honestly think some people over here have grown long necks, lay big eggs, run fast and spend a lot of their time with their head pointed downwards merely because their options were limited, perhaps a more responsible strategy should have been employed.

Anyway, hope to see you soon A, probably in Denver, till then duuuuuuude :)

Honestly, I do not know what relationship the EXL has with Richmond, but I think the state of the union dictates Joy, RL, Nexus, Shockwave and anyone else, if I was them, make sure they weren't left out in the cold with the s7. Resources can be manipulated... what if you took your b teams or made a b team association? Or an aliance with a competing 7man team? Becareful guys, the tight lipped act was cute for a while but its old now. The recent vote speaks volumes.
Not sure what I will make it to, the PSP suckago for sure. Too much work to do.

That is certainly an area we have looked into with our Nexus feeder team being plugged into Toulouse along with a few of our first squad and I hope we are gonna be ok but it's gonna be tight mate.
On another note oh Evil One, do you subscribe to the idea that if the PSP goes pop, the demise of the NXL is then invitable?

The NPPL lock certainly seems to have been a brilliant bit of insight by PP.

Mind you, they have always had their heads screwed on - they offered the right package and now have said "you want in for the future? Then be a part of it now!"

The straw that broke the camels back?

It's all very interesting anyway!!

1. The nxl wont go pop unless the brothers G give up and I think RI will hang in there.

2. As for DY, RM and even JB they would have to be pretty pissed at the brothers for the PSP to go pop.

3. I am going to enjoy watching how it all pans out. I would like to see a merger, 8 to 10 events, and expanded feeder structure, a direct tie in with MS (so there is a mirror league in Euro, with dual counting events for a world series)...Now the problem is picking the correct format for all this happy unity. 5 man and xball would be the way to go in my opinion.

Curious, if you were the boss of world pball, where would you want it to go P.?
