As far as I know, the NXL has now voted on whether to allow its players to play outside of the NXL, primarily in the NPPL.
The votes have been cast and it seems as tho there was the required two thirds majority (6 to 3) and all players are now free to play where they want.

I can think of three teams who might not wish to take up this option and the remaining might have some money issues as this may have to be funded from the players themselves so it will be interesting to see who books in..
My guess would be Shock, Dave's Ironmen, Bob's Assassins and now we could be struggling....

The consequences of this 'player power' change and climb down are as yet unclear but no doubt, some of you guys can speculate on the wider issues this brings up....have fun :)

Surley this decision means they wouldnt have to?
Unfortunately for the players on ME at the time (now the players of Infamous), their decision to play the NPPL came before this board decision.
They cannot go back even if they wanted to!

Plus their decision might also have been affected by the new team owner/sponsor too maybe.

Actually, I hear NPS put no pressure on them whatsoever to leave, they merely green-lighted it after the players expressed their wish to play the NPPL.
And NPS were already the major sponsors of the team anyway.
From a commercial / promotional point of view, the move makes sense, it was just a matter of weighing the pros and cons.

I can think of two for sure, with maybe Jerry being the other one, but then again, if the new owner of Miami Effect (Billy) were to vote for acceptance, this would allow Dynasty to play in the NXL as well as any other series they wish to.
After all, being able to play in the NPPL was always the primary stumbling block for Dynasty if they were to ever play NXL.....seems to me as though that might be a good strategy :)
