In all the countries where the NXL is played, however, it would be legal.Originally posted by JAC
Being FA ilegal in some countries there will be problems....
It seems like they should rename the NXL the "Guinea Pig League".
I am very interested to see how it turns out. I am going to Pittsburgh (or wherever the next PSP is) so if it happens fast enough, I will see first hand. I don't think that play would change that much. In any case, the skill we're talking about is not the one most beneficial to spectators. Freeing up brain and attention for more spectacular abilities may be good for the crowd.
As far as capitulating on rules enforcement, velocity is easier to manage than shot adders, isn't it? I don't know how slippery this slope is, Robbo. The 300 fps rule has been around and technology and custom have had a lot of time to make enforcement more reliable. Maybe bounce and cheat mode enforcement will catch up soon, but it seems like the NXL wasn't leading the charge anyhow.
As for the barrel bag scenario, I feel that with full auto guns in the open, there is clear incentive to improve barrel blocking devices. That could be the silver lining.
