Word. Wasn't sure if it had been confirmed. That is their biggest loss and why I said they had been hit hard during the pre season. Most feared player in the NXL. The Americans don't call him Frankenstein for nothing. Can't get the guy off his lane and he shoots minimum one guy off the break everytime. He doesn't run much cause his knees are a little screwed up. But when he takes off the guy is a f-ing loccomotive. The guy is Robbocop. And he was always on the field. With Vasiliev its pretty much a 4 against 5 every game....

I'm not sure. I think he was tired of playing and of the RL training methods. They probably lost him to the local fishing team :). His first passion is fishing.

And so, I think the RL’s standard of performances will be maintained and eventually start to improve as the process starts to bite into the new flood of players.
Once Sergey has acquired that Holy Grail of paintball in that he has great talent in his team and then great training, nothing will stop him.
I will be fascinated to watch it unfold this season.

A couple of things no one is taking into account in their prognostications are the field designs and the relative strengths of the teams touted. For starters, if I am pre-judging the Texas design correctly, it is going to be different in significant ways from any previous NXL layout and will, given their past tendencies, prove surprisingly hard for a couple of high profile teams to play successfully. (No names--as I don't want to antagonize anybody-- but I'll post who I think may not do well in Mod's Forum for future reference. ;) )

Those that will benefit:
Naughty Dogs
Trauma
Philly
XSV
Oakland
Miami

Those that won't:
Legacy
Detroit
Ironmen
NYX

Dynasty can play on on pretty much any field, as can Russia. Teams like LTZ and Nexus I'm unsure about. We shall see.

I am hearing that LTZ can expect a lot of penalties. They practiced against Rons guys at the weekend and even Ron could not believe what they were up to, which speaks great big, leatherbound volumes...

I think the team to watch will be Docs Raiders. But then I don't really care, so don't ask me why.:)

I'm rather curious to see what happens when Dynasty meets NXL refs. I'm guessing Ollie's ablity to talk refs into wiping his hits off will decrease substantially.
