Nuclear Armageddon 4th August?

This will happen in about 6 billion years,
I give the human race 100 years at best. We will either nuke ourselves off the face of the earth or bugger up the o'zone layer and all fry.

It also worries me a little that we do not have natural selection like other species. There is no survival of the fittest which means mankind has been on a downward spiral in terms of evolution for some time.

I was speaking to my boss at work today, and he'd read the Bible Code and reckons the worlds gonna end as the result of a nuclear holocaust on the 4th of August this year caused by the current crisis in the middle east.

Just wondered if anyone had read anything about this etc? Or what your views on our impending doom are?

Jumped the weekend gun a bit haven't you? Perhaps a second opinion. What's Nostradamus got to say about it?

Yeah sorry Baca, I figured friday night after work was (at a push) the weekend? :D

Let it slide this time pal? Could be the last weekend ever you know...

And yeah I see what you're saying about Nostradamus, but he was just a run of the mill prophet was he not? This "Bible Code" is based on a system of Equidistant Letter Sequences (ELS). Basically, every nth letter is taken to form a chain. So, for instance, imagine every 3rd letter in a certain book of the bible was intended to be read together etc. Below is a link explaining things a little clearer:

Not a lot, he's dead! Problem with Nostradamus is that his quatraines mean different things to different people and only really work out after the event when a non-specific verse can be fitted around it. Bit of a horse and barn door situation.

Lol

Nostradamus never actually predicted the end of the world..he just didn't predict after a certain point (which 2 different experts on him take to be 3786 and 3797).
