who at the NPPL can i talk to about putting the world back together after they broke it?

Joy - excellent news. Hopefully you'll use the experience to come back stronger next season.

Brilliant, great news for Joy, you were done an injustice, but at least now its been rectified. You show great sportsmanship, and that earns my respect.

On the issue of overshooting of a player that is playing on, I wholeheartedly agree. When a player is shot, that player should leave the field immediately. Any other action, in the worse case playing on, he should expect to be shot until that player leaves the field. It makes it more obvious for refs to see that they have been shot, and it should hopefully teach that player something. It is tough but fair. However i do believe that overshooting a player that has stopped firing and is leaving the field once eliminated should be made a more punishable offence with more serious penalties.

A perfectly behaving player will not retaliate when shot, overshot, verbally abused and/or threatened (by a pointed marker or otherwise) but will rely on the officials to sort it out and apply the proper penalties. Unfortunately that goes contrary to human nature and especially the pumped up PB player.

Because such reaction is almost the norm and because it mostly is understood and goes unpunished we will continue to have moments of chaos like this.

Better reffing and rules obviously reduce the frequency of such occurances.

BTW, here are the rules for overshooting:
______________________________________________

21.04 Six-Game Suspension. Players will be ejected and the team will play short for six games for the following:
(1) Outbursts. Throwing marker or air system.
(2) Physical contact during or after play that results in injury (e.g., punch, kick, or spit).
(3) Over Shooting. Over shooting any other player with intent to injure.
(4) Shooting Referees.
(5) Shooting from Dead Box.
_______________________________________________

Those are pretty harsh penalties IMO.

yeah but presumably they are to act as a deterant as much as they are a punishment.

why get penalised for throwing marker ?!

thats about as harmless as throwing a 1000 pound pod :(

sure if the air tank is attached then its easy to snap off and go boom, but if you just want to throw the marker !

spose the barrel could take an eye out

Exactement! But rules that don't get applied when they should obviously don't have the least deterrent effect. On the contrary, they make players more and more disrespectful of the rules because they know the words don't mean shizit.
