The stakes are higher, simple.

With the money running into thousands the desire and drive to win is more than it's ever been

Paintball is more a business than a sport at the top...........

Didn't know that bro BUT the Avalanche incident had judges using the AA2s 'Superman' logo with the 2 in it, I kinda put 2 and 2 together....maybe I got 4, maybe I got 7....

Paul Alder is a quality pro and knows how to use his knowledge to best effect, the way he handled the situation was pretty impressive, no arguing, no shouting, no bitching, just stated the rules and the bare facts which you can't really argue with can you.

Harsh.

videotape. Traumahead's Vegas video has the Strange vs. Avs game with the fractious incidents included. There was also a substantial amount of posted "commentary" regarding that game at the time. Haven't really heard any similar talk about Chitown at least so far as Dynasty is concerned.
Truth is none of this is new or more common or worse than it used to be--just more widely disseminated these days with all the paintball sites and tapes available now.

Unsure

I can't really make my mind up whether it's a good thing that the vids show this footage or whether it's bad....mmm????

I suppose it's good coz we get to see how our admired teams play and act in a real environment rather than how we percieve them to be without seeing this stuff. Makes them more human rather than super human, if you know what I mean.

I though it may be bad as it makes the sport look sketchy at times and often too heated but thinking about it ,that's paintball really.

Hmmmm.

Well, yeah that and--

the scenario Manning mentioned seems to have alot of energy and animosity behind it (if the rumors one hears occasionally are to be given any credence) due to non-paintball personal and business clashes.
And actually after Manning brought it up I think maybe there's something to it.

Which reminded me of something completely unrelated--go figure--and that was the 26 part of Manning26. Is that like Manning is a clone or something? The 26th version of the original? Or, given the Arkansas connection, maybe that's the number of kids in his family and he's the 26th? I know there aren't 25 other Mannings posting here so. . .

Teej, it's Warped Pepsi dba Irish Brigade now. Get with the times, Man!

"Seriously = single sponsor, top dollar investment = waaaaaaaay more pressure and favor doing? Is that tha equation?"

Yep.

And Cow, Owen's from Arkansas, I'm in Missouri. You've been hangin' around Teej too long. And there's only one other Manning on here, the 26 is my jersey number. That way if anyone has a problem with anything I'm saying they can easily find me at the field for further discussion.;)

It further fans the political flames of which the upper levels of competition paintball already near asphyxiate from. The PRO is the only way to get rid of that forever. There will always be bad calls, but it'll be more from ineptitude versus political leanings. Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty cool to see the companies focus on particular teams, it creates a bit more drama, it gives teams further identity, and, to me anyway, it makes paintball more professional. You're not just out there playing for respect anymore, you're not just letting down your teammates if you f*** up, there's a bit more to play for now.

Arkansas, Missouri--it's all Ozark country. Any state that has Branson can't be doing any braggin' :)
That number 26 explanation is wwwaaaayyy 2 BORING. I'm sticking with the clone theory, thanks.

Back to the real subject--I agree with ya but what about the flip side? Teams and players have the pressure to succeed ratcheted up a notch or two but what does that same pressure do to the teams reffing until PRO is fully functional?
