I thought the shows were well presented. The use of graphics was excellent, making it clear what players were doing during the game in a simple, informative manner that didn't slow down the action or talk down to the view.
I think the slower playing style we saw in Miami has it's advantagees for TV filming, as it allows more footage to select from. Shows like lumberjacking, surf contests and worlds strongest man are a lot longer than. They just cut out the boring parts (like 2 - 3 minutes from each game they showed on ESPN2).
Later games in the playoffs may be too slow even for TV. I'm interested to see how the stalemates will look on TV - nailbiting tension right up to the last minute, or boring, no action snoozers.
I don't see PB as being good live TV viewing, as there is too much 'sit and shoot" to keep people's attention. But decent, niche-quality TV - they can do that. Becoming prime-time, or at least bigger than the Lumberjack and WSM contests that fill ESPN's slow times? Honestly I don't think so.
In the long run, TV should be a good boost to the sport and tournaments. But I doubt it will be the holy grail a lot of people seem to think it is.
