At the ESPN Meeting with the Pro Captains ESPN said it will 'probably' be about 22 minutes of playing / game footage per hour show.

Don't get my comment all bent up the wrong way i hope so much that its brilliant... But you can only work with what you have. We use a term in design when we say ‘you can't polish a turd’. In another words when i give the design guys say a bag of o-rings to photograph for the on-line store, it's pretty hard for them to make them look good and cool. Give them something cool to photograph (like an EGO6) then they can get inspired and enthusiastic about it and something great can come out of it. If the footage they have is good and looks great then brilliant but then think about what it could have been like it they 100 games of blood and guts as well !!!

About selling up.

If teams are not going to be willing to sell up (see page 1 of this debate) do you think that teams sharing sponsors will from alliances to play the NPPL?

For example. Planet start sponsoring the Legion. The legion can't buy a spot in the super 7's league. Nexus name a few russkies on there roster. Nexus finish mid table next year and the sponsor gets maximum coverage.
Or
Legion get mixed with the tigers.
There must be 8- 10 teams who want to play pro next year and now with the ESPN thing not many people willing to sell. Also it makes it that much more imperative that you stay at pro level. If i were a lower ranked team i'd be making some phone calls. How many can you name on a squad for the NPPL? If its 12-15 then both teams profit.

ON the whole how interesting is paintball on telly thing.... It has to be said that watching bunker runs and controversy is good. Watching lane shooting and paint domination is cak.

Any new super league that is a product of the integration talks between the PSP and Pure Promotions will necessarily have to have representation from both the NXL and NPPL.
It just remains to be seen how many NPPL teams sit alongside those of the NXL.
After all, there are two sides to this coin, one side says, 'why the fcuk should teams from the NXL play alongside me when they have done fcuk all in terms investing in the NPPL because we have supported the NPPL from the beginning' and the other side can say, 'why the fcuk are teams playing alongside me when they ain't paid 250,000 dollars like me for a franchise'.
Both are legitimate points and both sets have to be reconciled but as I see it, the major stumbling block is just how many teams go to make up this super league and if it means losing a few NPPL teams to make the league manageable, then who goes and how will they be compensated ?
I quite like the idea of two conferences like they have in the NFL and in this way, all interests can be upheld and nobody is sacrificed.

If you split the league though wouldn't that mean more major tournies which correct if i'm wrong is what the big time sponsors are trying to avoid.
East and west conference would be a good idea but you'd still end up with probably 10 plus tournies. I suppose you could get the major sponsors (Dye smart parts, etc) to support 1 league and not the other and thus concentrate there fire power on 5 tournies instead of 10. That way individual teams can pick and chose which events to attend but the pro's/ semi pro's almost hae to attend to keep racking up points. Then top teams go to the world cup/ commanders cup equivilent and duke it out in the mother of all tournies at the end of the season.
Down side is less vendors to chose from at a tourney for Joe Punter.
Plus side the major players only have to support 5 tournies state side for there teams thus freeing up budget dollars so they can compete in Euro land again. Everyone's a winner (lke life's that simple;) )

My idea would be that both conferences would be played out at the same event mate.

Aren't the American Football conferences geographically based, east-coast and west-coast? And maintained in this way to reduce the traveling for away fans? What with holding tem at the same events wouldn't that be unneccesary, and a little artificial? I can see the solutions it raises for the current situation buyit would be nice if everyone was in the same league. I suppose it is a question of what's workable.

Can't wait for the announcement, provided a deal is reached. (fingers crossed)
