If you shop around, you can find great deals for hotels. I aranged a new year's eve party at the embassy suites hotel for about $200 a room. Thats a 5 star hotel on new year's eve. You just gotta look

dude, all the Papaya hotdog places give you 2 all-beef cancer sticks and a drink for $2.25.

$9 a beer?!?!?! Thats more than the bars I go to charge for pitchers. Man, you are getting royally screwed.

Bro, you just gotta know the specials. The bars I head to are far from ****head places. All those places around NYU always got a special going in one form or another.

Well, it's not Central Park but I don't know if I'd call Englishtown the "Armpit of America" either. There's some positives and negatives about the location...

Positive - centrally located to NYC and Philly (30 and 60 minutes, respectively), well known venue that hosts large events, cheaper than NYC or Long Island, lots of hotels (which is why I heard Eisenhower Park wasn't used - not enough available hotels in the area), Collegetown in New Brunswick is right around the corner (or the Jersey Shore if you go the other way - lots of fun down there), it's not a cow pasture

Negatives - it is kinda the sticks, won't have much walk-by traffic

Englishtown isn't much farther from downtown NYC than Tinley Park was from downtown Chicago. I'm curious to see how they're going to use the venue - whether they'll flatten one of the BMX tracks or use one of the open fields there. Either way it should be interesting.

Oh yeah, and it's only 20 minutes from my house so I can ref and still sleep in my own bed :D :D :D
