Scary thought..The brits lost in the Bronx lugging around thousands of dollars worth of gear asking for directions in the middle of the ghetto..I can just see the headlines now..:p

I think given with what's going on at the moment, the Brits may well be considered quite cool in the Bronx but I think the French may well face a different reaction were they to find themselves in such a dilemma......ouch !!!!!!
:):):)  Oooh La la !

It could get ugly if the Brits wander into one of the Irish neighborhoods. And don't get me started on the Jets and their fans.
Ya know, t'is a funny thing Dolan, I been to Dublin a few times now and I was treated great by real Irish people, what's with the Americans who live in the Irish neighbourhoods problem ?

Its because in the States, the third and fourth generation kids feel the need to play out the stereotypes of whatever ethnicity they happen to identify with.

You should see how the Italians in my old hood got treated.

I think you mean freedom cabbage.

Hell, I'm first generation American from Irish parents and I hate cabbage.

Anyway, is it possible Shea or Yankee Stadium would be used if either team is on a road trip?

Englishtown, New Jersey? Is that a joke?

This completly knocked the wind out of me.

They really dropped the ball picking this location. I have nothing against Englishtown (other than it being in the Armpit of America), but this is just bad.

They had to get this inside NYC. Take advantage of the tourism. There had to be somewhere.

South Street Seaport?
Jones Beach (worked brilliantly at Huntington)?
Shea or Yankee Stadiums?
Van Cortland Park?
Central Park?
Randal's Island?

They want TV deals and national press? Putting it in some obscure town that only your die-hards are going to attend isn't the way. Put it in the middle of somewhere where people are wandering through anyway.

Or am I making too big a deal out of this?

Your right when you say its probably not the best place if your trying to thrust PB into the spotlight but the raceways a pretty cool place to hold the event..Granted its not NYC but Mr.AckaBacaLoco said it best when he wondered if all you poor fools would really enjoy playing in NYC when ya gotta spend $200 a night on hotels,$10.00 just to eat lunch at Subway, and a whopping $9 for a beer at the better clubs;) ...You all would find something to bitch about..:)The citys 30 minutes from Englishtown if you know where your going so it shouldnt put a damper if your only there to enjoy the nightlife..

Im just surprised they didnt get Eisenhower Park on Long Island..Plenty of grass, hotels, food joints,25 minutes from JFK or LaGuardia and Club Mirage right up the street for all you party animals though they are strict with children with fake Id's..But it is thier first year so ill give them some slack with growing pains..Its gotta be hard to find venues when your all the way over there across the sea...Maybe with enought time they can find better venues though Randalls Island would have been hella cool..

But look at the bright side..At least they wont need grandstands:rolleyes::p
