Hotpoint,
Maybe if we can have an official statement from the UKPSF to that effect, we could forward it to the paper, give them the full story...
It could force an answer from the Sports Council...?
Given the changes underway in Sports Council Recognition we are currently waiting to see what the final situation is before pressing the issue again
I am working to a plan here

Have we tried going political with this, I wrote to my MP who wrote to the sports minister who reitterated what was quoted to Rob.
Have we gone back through political channels To question why "Sports" status has not been granted?
I have communicated with the DCMS (Department of Culture Media and Sport) on this issue and they thought that the reasoning used by the Councils seemed a touch nonsensical but for the most part they go along with a legal judgement made previously that the Sports Councils themselves have final say
The Sports Councils have a surprising degree of autonomy from the DCMS despite the fact it is through this body that they are supposedly accountable to Parliament
Finally let me reiterate that the UKPSF is working on this but we are waiting to see what the new form of Recognition is before we start raising hell. No point pissing people off until we really have to
A year ago we considered legal action but the problem there is that once we are recognised we will have to deal with these people regularly and we didn't want to sour the relationship right off the break
