i agree with nick.....

the best thing that i have heard has come from nick! there are too many opinions that are being handed out without all the information. no disrespect chris, but don't you think that it would be better to have all the facts before you start to flame the people involved? i would like to hear both parties statements about what has taken place before i allow my fingers to start showing my thoughts on the subject. it appears to me that you are way to quick to start the "Pete should be removed from the rules committee"without allowing the man to even speak. the beauty of all this is that you seem very eager to slander Robbo and make comments about him being a thug. i do not know you or rather Robbo for that matter so i show no partiality to ethier of you. the one thing that i am looking forward to is when Pete does come on this board and response to your comments.

james

Where was nexus?

Where was nexus during all this? I doubt they dragged him behind a trailer and beat the crap out of him, but with that list of injuries it sounds like it would take a few minute beating. Hell, what about other players? If you saw someone on the rules commitee getting beat up, wouldn't you come to his rescue so you can get hero points with the league and refs?

Perhaps they were held back by (some of) the refs?

Chris, I am against any form of physical violence on the field, but this remark is bull****. Pete, like anybody else, has his faults, but it's a fact that he will be the first to raise his hand in guilt if he messed up. A good example of this is Amsterdam 2002, where he was given a penalty by the disciplinary committee and had no problem accepting it.

Well, I assume those involved are too busy playing a tournament at the moment, so I guess we'll have to wait for the people to come home in order to get the inside scoop.

Let's avoid jumping to any conclusions guys. Several sites mention the incident, and they all have a different story, ranging from Pete spitting near/at someone, to full pitch invasion. Let's just wait for the facts, not the rumours.

From what ive heard....

-Pete should not have been on the field, although im sure to him thats debatable lol:)

-Rage were way out of line, obviously that kinda beating is not proportional to anything pete did....even if it was dosn't make it right.

-Nexus stood and watched.....err c'mon boys, cant be letting that happen to ya team captain!....

Respect is due to the Nexus boys. They didn't stand idly by, but they were told in no uncertain terms that if they joined in, they would be out of the tournament.

Anyway, I've read back some of the stuff in this thread, and I gotta say that it's a bit unfair to do all sorts of theorizing and in some cases hurling of accusations. So until those involved have had a chance to come back home and have their say, this thread is closed til further notice.
