First thing first.....
Anyone who thinks I take any pleasure out of this situation whatsoever is an idiot. Stuff like this just pisses me off to no end. It pisses me off when people are allowed to give the refs and other players **** at PSP events, NPPL events, or wherever. It ESPECIALLY pisses me off when the person doing it should know better.
And shut my yap and wait for what? What new information do you guys honestly expect to see that's going to make this 'ok'? Pete managed to get a position on the NPPL rules committee where he should have the ability to institute POSITIVE change in the sport, and what does he do?
He goes on the field after a game he ain't playing and starts ****. And you're defending him why? Under what possible circumstances could this have been ok?
And Steve, don't be putting sentiment in my mouth. I could care less whether it's Pro League A or Pro League B. It doesn't make any difference whose field this happened to have happened on this time around. It's the same **** everywhere: Inadequate penalties, inadequate enforcement, inadequate tracking, complete unwillingness to tackle the easy, basic stuff that needs to be fixed if the sport is going to be taken seriously. You start a fight with another player, you get tossed from the event. You severely injure a player you're gone for a year+.
let the system work: it seems like penalties and fines have been handed out
Are you seriously suggesting that a $500 fine and "leave for the day" for breaking another player's nose/ribs is the system WORKING? Surely you jest.
Even worse, if we actually believe Pete was on the field in some official capacity and not as just a coach throwing a fit, are you suggesting that penalty is appropriate for breaking the nose/ribs of a LEAGUE OFFICIAL?
I can't believe anyone is even trying to justify any part of this situation, even if it's just one quarter as bad as it looks right now.
