I've seen four separate sources that say it happened. And I don't care what the details are, it doesn't matter - there is simply no excuse for getting in a physical altercation with another player, ESPECIALLY when you're apparently NOT EVEN PLAYING, ESPECIALLY when you're apparently *ON THE RULES COMMITTEE* of the organization running the league.
This is the rough equivalent of Bud Seilig coming out of the stands to rough up a pitcher or catcher because he thought the Brewers lost a game because the umpire missed a call. It's ludicrous, absolutely ludicrous.
Pete should be off the rules committee, end of story. He fscked up, and he fscked up big.
